 Hi mate! What's this yerba mate people keep talking about? I think I can get some but I don't know if I want to, I can get seeds and it should grow OK for me here too I think. Anyway this is what? A morning chat thread? So confusing as it's not morning and not time to wake but it's definitely time to bake.

Yerba Mate is a plant from the americas I believe, has caffeine and theobromine and another xanthine, elevates levels of ADP and ATP, and also acts as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. Haven't tried it myself, but i have tried guayusa which is related being in the Holly family.

Fair enough, nothing wrong with a tight community and most people here seem pretty cool... I'm just not up to date with all these new things people are taking for calming down and stuff. I love some good herbal tea so I'm hoping it's something like that.

Yeah I've noticed the EMC/LNC etc etc but we're backwards so it always amuses me when it's MDC and pitch black outside my window.... So it's not like tea then, does it taste like shit? I like coffee.

I liked guayusa, it had a very interesting flavor and look to it... i was also on acid at the time so who knows, but i think i'd like it even sober. It's kinda like tea  it's got a unique flavor to it. I don't know about yerba but i would wager it's very similar.

it does not have caffeine.
yerba mate is a tea that has alkaloids similar to coffee, but without that jittery feeling. it's very clean and nice. also very good for you.
i love drinking yerba mate before/during trips.... it increase the psychedelia soooo much. goes great with any drug really, especially pot.
don't buy yerba mate in any tea store or health food store. go to a mexican market or order it online. the shit from south american is the best. brazil and argentina know how to make goooood mate.

Cactus tea is disgusting, one of the most horrible things I've ever had. I vomited a lot but it was worth it......
I'll probably try to grow some since I can get seeds, I dunno if there is anywhere here that sells it as tea. We have a 'Kava Lounge' but I've not yet been to that.

the levels vary, and can be lower or higher than coffee from what I read. Also, while I don't think it contains it, L-theanine works in tandem with caffeine to take the jitters out producing a much calmer alert state of mind, so look into that if you want the alertness without the jitters. i take it by itself a lot just to get a more calm state of being.
I would imagine that theobromine is much calmer than caffeine considering i don't get the jitters from dark chocolate.

i've read usually lower, but it does depend. but i think it's the mix of all the actives that give it that unique wakefulness.

You try SAMe yet? I take a ton of supplements anymore. More than I feel like listing. But the SAMe & l-theanine together have had the most impact on my mood, stress levels, etc. I'm gonna chill with Burke today. Not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. What about you?

Yeah I was taking 400mg of SAMe for a while while i had a 1/4th of a bottle. took a while to do anything, then kind of faded out and my moods sunk again when I stopped taking it, but i've now equalized again. You said you don't* take a lot of supplements anymore or do? I couldn't read that right.
Not sure what I'm up to, I'm trying to get out of the house this weekend and do something but it's been almost impossible to get people to hang, I dunno man it really weirds me out. Tell Burke I said hey

Me and my buddy found fuqtons of the stuff yesterday in his neck of the woods

Hey guys. So i got a new car and i want to be able to play my music from my phone.
I dont see an aux port and there is no tape deck like my old car to use an adapter like that.
I also am not really interested in an FM transmitter.
Anyone have any good ideas, thats not crazy expensive? If its possible without getting a new radio.

Sup, y'all?
I just got my kratom dose in. Might smoke some sativa before I hit the town.
I think God's testing me. Not long after my girl left, an old girlfriend of mine came by. She just got out of rehab. We hadn't seen each other in years. She wanted to stay, but I didn't think that was a good idea.
I wasn't rude. I smoked her out and gave her a bump of coke before sending her on her way.
I'm sure we would've had fun, but I know what would happen and it wouldn't be good. We'd be in Birmingham with a glass dick before tomorrow
So, I resisted.
But now I'm lonely, listening to old country music and vibing on my Kratom. So I'm probably about to try to get into something.

check out that site man. pick what is in your price range. crutchfild is awesome they have never let me down. from wiring harness to instructions. i put an alpine in my jeep about 3 years ago, and with all the dirt, mud and off roading it still works like a charm. and i think it cost me less that 60 bucks.

I just got back from my excursion into the forest to hunt for sassafras, what a fun journey
Thankfully it was a pretty successful harvest too, I didn't find any for the first few hours which I thought was weird cuz I went very deep into the woods and covered quite a bit of ground, then I went to a different section of the woods across the road and found a whole bunch of it in 5 minutes
Now I just need to figure out how to make incense out of it
