I always use field aged or composted horse manure. But I can't get a ride to pic any up from stables till after the 4th. And I have some contamed jars I Wana throw outside before they get further along with contams as, right now there's quite a good amount of healthy myc. Had this laying around for garden. Gonna mix this with some straw and throw in pots. Anyone ever use this stuff
?

I think just about any manure will work as long as u fluff it up a bit. Hpoo is easier becuz it has more space between it. Adding sum chopped straw to that batch of manure should help with your colonization.. just my opinion tho.

BTW. I've never used the brand u have there, but I have used black kow. From my experience, it gets really mushy, but not too hard to get to field capacity.

Yea. I threw a couple contamed jars to a pot a week or so ago and it started to colonize really nice but kind of looks like it might fizzle out. I def8ntily think it needs straw to aerate or fluff it up.

I'm thinking of moving to woodlovers. I think prepping saw dust would be simpler, but I'm not sure. Just something I'd like to try.
