1) Buy a rubbermaid of the exact same size.
2) Fill it 1/4-1/3 of the way with water.
3) Submerse your heater in it and set it a little higher than what you want the temperature to be.
4) Stick your current rubbermaid in the water.
5) Secure with zip ties, twist ties, shoelaces, anything really. If its heavy enough it'll fit snugly in, but it doesn't matter if it floats.
6) Monitor the temperature inside your incubator, and make adjustments as necessary.

aka "tub-in-tub" incubator, more efficient and trustworthy than the bottle of Absolut.

rubbermaids are like $3 each, just sell your crackpipe and you can buy two. it's better than fucking around with a sub-par incubator.

The pump mixes the water so it doesn?t just heat up from the bottom.
Old picture.

I recamend these heaters.

My friend had a real hard time getting his tub-in-tub incubator warm enough, since the closet it lives in is really drafty, and his fishtank heater was the cheapest one they had at Wal-Mart.  He threw a blanket over the whole setup, and the temperature went up from around 70 F to 89 F.  He wasn't expecting to have to turn the heater down, but the thermometer proved him wrong.
