This is what you must accept in the DMT world, and is also the reason I don't go deep into it often; one must feel brave and composed enough to see 'either the most wonderful visions you have ever seen, or to go through your personal hell' (I'm paraphrasing what someone once said to me).
I think you'll find, as time passes, that often the harder trips are the ones that cause more spiritual growth.
Give it time, and don't go in again until you feel (mostly) ready. There's no rush.
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Dmt is so strong it's scary...
I'm way more into shrooms or mescaline and weed.
Lol not to derail this thread or anything.

You did nothing wrong man. It is just the nature of tryptamines IMO. Phenethylamines are far less prone to produce experiences like this. For your information:

Don't be scared extracting it. Follwing a well known TEK is just like baking a cake.

Sounds to me like you had a DMT experience and you need to change your behavior/thoughts/action/beliefs on death, and coping with letting go. Try meditation before hand to clear your mind and calm. It's difficult but worth it to me. I do understand by being limited in description and feeling more real than can image.

I cannot take psychedelics without feeling like I'm dieing, but one thing I will tell you, and I'm sure most will agree: psychedelics won't do what you want, but will do what you NEED. It's teaching a lesson, guiding you through life, not there to 'trip and see colours'. They will teach you what you need, not always what you want. Understand?

Yes, breakthrough dosages of DMT is one of those where you need to submit fully and have full confidence and intention in what you are doing. Letting yourself die and giving up your barriers to access your inner heaven/self is never a "fun" experience.. Once you have a successful breakthrough it will not be something you do all the time, the messages are too strong.
You must feel ready, desire to experience it without intention will not go good, I found this out quick. A bad DMT trip is exactly that a personal hell, and opposite for a good one - all your fears or all your hopes exasperated to a soul level, in my case a full blown anxiety attack, to the point of burning in my own hell, I disrespected DMT and it disrespected me.
Just know after a certain dosage ego death is guaranteed, its a growing process, mushrooms have the same outcome, there's too much hype around aya and smoked dmt.
