What would do this?
    #23403351 - 07/02/16 07:50 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

I don't have a pic atm so don't ask.

What would turn a half developed fruit to almost mush in a matter of about 12 hours?

It started with a slight blue spot on the base of the mushroom for no apparent reason and escalated quickly to almost the whole thing kinda blue, laying over, and a pool of "mushroom blood" at the base.

Seriously a very dark blue almost blackish like fluid, a few drops, localized at the base. The mushroom is toast and it got that way real fast like.

I'm assuming it's some sort of bacteria because of the speed. It'll be a few hours before I snap a pic.

Looks like the fruit just go liquidized.

The mushroom gods are displeased.  :kingtard:

--------------------
How to get started in bulk:
Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker
BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box
PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek
Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series
How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs)
What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain)
Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary)
Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful)
Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Yeah not gonna get one. I had to dispose of it before I acquired a camera.

It's likely the rest will follow though so I will try to grab a pic

It's pseudomonias tollasii. Usually attacks than caps first but bodhi has shown us that it can start with the stipe as well.

Man that stuff is insane. I only had it once but it ate half a canopy in 24 hours. Perfect healthy looking fruits reduced to goo.

Spraying an infection can dislodge spores and bacteria from the infected areas and send them a few feet away.

Interesting, does it emit an odor? I've seen something similar Outdoors but wasn't sure if it was just decomposing or bacteria related. Those smelled like a fishy pussy.  :whoa:

That looks like the culprit.  And goo was probably the better description.

What causes it and what to do to prevent it?

Standing water and poor FAE are causes. Good FAE and evaporation is the best solution.
