This is the result of my first try at Cubensis(B+)cultivation! My cakes are finally doing what the Gods intended! Thanks to all who flung advice my way! Now, the panic sets in. What do I do to maximize health and growth of my trippy little friends? More misting? Less fanning? Less misting? Or more? So far, only the centre cake is really putting out- I hope the rest catch up.

Yeah man. They look rough but will work fine. I can't stress enough this next point. I'm new myself but keep it stupid simple. I only most less than a handful of times a day, NEVER fan, and always have very full cakes of mushrooms. Also IMO a tub half that size would work better. I have my tubs with just maybe an inch between the cakes and the walls. Retains humidity better, again, in my opinion.
Rock on man.

Thanks for your input- but I gotta tell you that I`m conflicted by some of what you say. I`ve been misting(too heavily, I now believe) 3 times daily. After misting- I`ve been fanning. And I started out with a 27qt SGFC- for which I caught some flack as being too small! Sigh. The mantra seems to be:"Stick to the TEK!" But the variations on TEKs seem endless.

Mist until they glisten. Gently wave your lid of the FC to initiate evap. You don't have to go waving the lid around or nothin, the sgfc does that for you. Usually when pins form and start to get some body to them, cut down on the misting. Once they're more fruit than pin, you can just let them grow without intervention. The only issue I have with a 36 cake SGFC is that I'm sure it would work better as two 18's. I tend to have to shuffle them around sometimes so fruits don't inadvertently get misted but it still happens.

Larger sgfc's pump it out but it can turn into musical chairs fast. Still the extra high level humidity in the center area helps the ones that need that boost. Just put them on something more mobile than foil. Easy peasy japanesey.
