Pets and tripping
    #23402023 - 07/01/16 06:43 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Good evening lads.
Tonight i have experimented with some dmt and my dog behaved extremely different. As soon as i started to enter the dmt realm my dog suddenly came to me and acted really clingy and almost like it was taking Care of me. My dog is usually very wild and energetic but just as i started to trip it behaved very strange. My friend Who sat next to me had not taken any substances and told me the exact same thing, that the dog acted incredible strange and it was like the dog knew exactly what was going on.

Have you guys had any similar experience with your pets while tripping? And If so, please explain what happend:)

Peace and love :eek

I was recently gonna make a thread saying pretty much the same thing. On my most recent 200 microgram lsd trip, i chilled around my dog as i was coming up and he was acting insanely weird. He just sat next to me, not moving at all and just looking around, looking pretty scared. This freaked me the fuck out and i was so worried that HE was tripping somehow and that he like licked some residual L off of my hands or that my sweat secreted it a little or something and i petted him or some insane shit. I took him to the dog park with a friend later, and he was fine and having a blast with the other dogs, so i felt really relieved. I just couldn't believe how weird he was acting, and it really seemed like he was out of it, as well, which I really didn't want.

I'd also like to know why dogs react the way that they do around tripping people. Upon doing some research, i found some people saying that it's because of dilated pupils, but i have no idea as to whether or not that's the real reason. I just want to have a good time with my dog while I'm tripping, and it was extremely unnerving to see him behaving the way that he was as soon as i was coming up. Maybe over time he'll get used to it, but I definitely can't have that happening every time i trip.

I've read that some dogs started to attack their owners while the owners were tripping. It's really weird but i think that animals know and feel so much more than we think they do.

It also feels that i develop a stronger connection to my dog when tripping which lasts long after the trip. It's easier to understand each other now aswell.

There are alot of different theories on why and how they sense us tripping and i find it very interesting. Would be fun to learn more on this particular subject.

My dogknows im tripping and ismy babysitter.  Ive had him since he was 1month old and tripped with him quite often, i find he knows, somehow and just is very concerned for me and wants to fuss over me. However, i have taken allylescaline around him twice and each time he has chilled out and fallen asleep

Sometimes i freak my cat out on 3+ grams of shrooms. She just gets really upset and wants me to leave her alone.

Then the next day she is glad that i am normal again.

This entire story, microgram amount and dog experience, happened to me last weekend.

Crazy stuff. Usually I am not a dog-person.

Take a look at my Mushroom report in the "Trip Reports" forum. here

My dog knew I was tripping I'm sure of it. I even read recently Dogs have been known to eat psychoactive shrooms in the wild.

My Psychedelic experiences:
LSD - 30+ times (2 hits min / max 3 hits) every time.
Shrooms - 4 times (2.5 - 3.5g)
DMT - 5 times (Powerful breakthrough only once)

Life can be one hell of a bitter pill to swallow so I chose acid instead -YeOlde

At times my cat goes skitzo at me when im on DMT and other times shes has consoled me also knows how to trip me out when im on LSD staring at something wide eyed on the wall i turn to look at what it is... nothing, our little friends are very receptive. Children are the same you are basically a child again in that state its very interesting.

Dogs eat anything.  Dogs are very sensitive to people.  They pick up on feelings we might reason out.  They have pineal glands too!  Just smaller frontal lobes.

I remember my dogs acting differently when I was tripping, but I was acting stranger than they were. One of them tries to take advantage of my child-like state by playing a lot (which she always does, but I'm way more into it when high). The other I always feel guilty around because he's got these big eyes that just stare into your soul. I think that he picks up I feel guilty and he's kinda sketched by me, he's okay once I "introduce" myself though and he knows I haven't totally lost it.

The one we've had since a baby pup and she just takes advantage of the fun time. The other we got at six months from an abusive home and I think that's why he's a bit afraid of me tripping, he knows something has changed and he's not a real fan of that idea because he knows his life could be a lot worse.

I think they can tell because of body language and to a lesser extent other senses. I know on psychs I am way different, so obviously the creature who worships you as a deity is going to notice that.

My dog does this as well, and I saw a dog do this on a dmt video. My theory is that they can sense the soul leaving the body and think you're dying. Sounds crazy, but yeah..

One time I was tripping and I saw my cat on the sofa chilling out, licking his privates. I thought it was funny and started laughing at him. I felt like acting strange, so I started pointing at him with mocking laughter. He froze in his place and just looked at me. I kept laughing and he got up and started meowing at me over and over, like he hadn't been fed in ages. Then I noticed that he was salivating heavily. I had never seen that before - was he pissed at me? So I stopped and sat down on the floor. He came over and started being sweet and loving, climbing into my lap and getting comfortable. We made up. But he was still salivating. He stayed with me for the rest of the trip. He wouldn't leave my side and when I went to bed he cuddled up next to me and stayed there all night.

My female cat seems really happy and acts almost like she is tripping when i am, but the male who normally is all over me seems really unsure and uneasy when im tripping. Very strange but im certain they pick up on it, the female especially she has huge black eyes when i trip like shes really happy as well hahaha. Shes also more playful than usual when i trip too.
