Rival Single Burner Question

Hello all
I must begin by saying thanks to this community; there's some serious knowledge here & I'm super thankful for it. Now, on with my question.
I unfortunately have a glass stove top, so I've "invested" ($9 @ Wally-World) in a small, Rivals single burner. It heats up quick, and seems like it can be a decent contributor to my kitchen/mycological needs. However, it has an auto-shutoff function when it gets too hot, and is handicapping my 16 qt. Presto from reaching 15 psi.
So my question now is, is there any way to tamper with it, to keep it on 100% of the time? Not concerned with voiding any warranties or such. I am curious if this would make it too dangerous to operate, however. Yes, I do realize that it's a "safety feature" and that it has a purpose, but it's really a bummer because it's teasing my PC.
Thanks for any help, y'all. Oh, and this is my first post.

I have a small propane grill outside I could use... I won't, for obvious reasons. None the less it's propane.
Also, I had my water up to the 3 qt mark earlier. I'm gonna put a little less and try that too.

What psi does it float at? You could always extend your cooking time. See below

Yes, I'm pretty sure you could bypass the auto cut off switch. Here's the issue. The shut off isn't there because the burner cant handle the heat, it's because what the burner is housed in can't handle it. In other words there's likely a plastic switch inside to control temp and wiring with minimal,or no, insulation so if the cook top gets too hot it starts melting the guts.
-------------------- I'd like to think I'm smart enough to realize how much knowledge I don't have.

I haven't got it to rock just yet. It's getting close to rocking now but it keeps bubbling and hissing right at the base of the tube that holds the weight up.

It's this model.

There are no mistakes, just happy accidents!
...uhm, unless you burn your house down. That's not cool!

I use this same burner .. All you need to do is take off the nut in bottom and cut the power and ground and wire that directly to the heating element
This keeps my 26 quart presto at 15 psi for as long as I want without over heating it

Um why not just use it on your stove top? I'm sure that's a lot less dangerous than ghetto rigging a burner. I use a flat top stove with my 16qt PC all the time and it does fine. What you're doing sounds like a great way to burn your place down.

I've always heard that a glass stove can crack under this type of heat/pressure. Really don't wanna fuck up the stove if i can avoid it, eh?

Ok dude up to you. I wouldn't wire up a burner to bypass safety measures put there so people don't kill themselves.
For the record though, I wouldn't put a giant AA on the stove top (although it would probably be ok)...those are a lot heavier than Prestos. I've read a lot about this on canning forums because I also can fruits and veggies. There are some instances of the glass cracking, but it is unusual...especially on newer stove models. Mine never has and I've used it a ton.
