Mushroom closet

Say humidity inside terrarium was hard to get to 90%. It stays at a constant 80% and that gave good yields but there were no holes in terrarium so a shotgun terrarium was made humidity kept dropping dramatically like to 60% so a humidifier was placed in the closet where the terrarium was.

After about two hours it was at 90% the closet contained all the humidity now the issue is do you guys think it would be bad to maintain the closet with a really high humidity? There's carpet so the floor and walls have been sealed with plastic. Do you guys think there is there a high chance of mold forming outside the terrariums? The closet has been sealed so all the humidity would be on the plastic wrap instead of the carpet and walls

I don't think this belongs in advanced mycology.

Anyways, if its gonna be in the closet, i don't think it'll get sufficient FAE.

FAE is kinda more important than humidity for triggering pin formation.

Secondly, there could be a chance of mold, unless you seal the wood with the plastic wrapping properly.

Short answer is yes. I'm guessing this is not a brand spanking new carpet in the closet? That means that there's all sorts of stuff in it that would love high humidity. In theory, if you do have it all completely sealed then it wouldn't be a problem. Over time the sheetrock in the ceiling will absorb moisture too.

I'm curious though... you said you were getting good results in your terrarium at 80% rh. Why change it up?

Every single time I come to check Advanced Mycology, I am disappointed...

I was getting good results at 80% humidity but looking at my trays they seemed to be giving me 60% 70% of their potential I'm just trying to figure out the best way to keep humidity and FAE efficiently
