The picture with the horse is where they are growing. It's a very warm compost pile, and I've harvested ALOT of Panaeolus this spring.

That's odd, because these are quite different from the Panaeolus Cinctulus I've had ID'd...see below. Stem is completely different. It's a different mushroom.

Tell me how you find the stems completely different. I call it natural variation. The white powder on the stems disappear when the mushroom has stood in the sun and dried up a bit, or if it's an aging thing... However nothing that point it in the direction of being another species.
You also had a couple of other (broken) photos in your post before you edited it. All were good representations of fresh but dry P. cinctulus. I also looked through your gallery and didn't find anything out of the ordinary, except a few p. papilionaceus and a Conocybe in the bottom of this photo, but in the gallery comment you hinted that you already know those aren't the same species as the others.

The stems are much thinner and more fragile, they seem more tapered to me, and the caps are a different texture. The spore prints are both black, so maybe it is just a variant. Amazing how much they differ. Thanks!

My "compost pile" is watered daily, you can feel the heat and humidity when you walk on the pile, especially where the grass is growing. Everyday, new shrooms are popping up. Found this last night.
