Any lineage selfed enough times will degrade. Those people with great PE cultures from early prints need to redistribute but I doubt there are many of those around. Remember that 5 years ago agar was considered a waste of time cause ms was good enough.

Damn I didn't realize that MS was still hailed as good as agar just 5 years ago. So in that case I guess it makes sense there wouldnt be any master slants from back in the day. I find that mentality to be odd considering edible growlers have realized it long ago I thought.

There would probably be, just very few. And no telling if any PE masters from the original are still around… we're not even positive who the bastard was that released it.

is seeding revolution driving around and tossing 3 to 5 gram baggies out the window with "Hola Terrícolas, un regalo para ti" written in friendly letters so you know it's a little less threatening b/c drugs found on the ground are always questionable....
If so i feel it dude.

Well much as he brought cultivation to the home hobbiest, PF was also responsible for a lot of the paradigm of the times. Remember he degraded the hell out of his own lineages by selfing them so much.

If you look at my first post here, nobody told me to inoc in a SAB, they said open air would be cool, and nobody told me that inoculating through an iso-soaked sponge was a bad idea either, never fucking mind the spores to grain. On the contrary, I was virtually applauded for all my precautions.
And so, a bunch of nobodies answering questions better left alone, collectively wasted a ton of my time, and that's why I might be a little overzealous about it now. Everybody is just batman in their own way. Stupid advice is what killed my parents.

and the blacklight, remember? Supposedly he suppressed the immune systems so much by growing with blacklights he got degenerative viruses in many of his varieties (according to workman's theory). Supposedly that's why APE will inevitably have problems (from PF albino). We gotta find some true albinos, boys.

We are pretty sure it was Gee who released it. . . whoever that is lol. Dreamster1 supposedly had some very old prints as did workman and ryche. No idea if any cultures made from those still survive. I do know that originally PE didn't form blobs and was able to drop spores.

Sounds like we just need to start over from a mutt of all the good varieties.

But who would be stupid enough to undertake a thankless task like that? Maybe some asshole is already doing it

fuck you. jk, I think we're all kinda doing it in a way
edit: for real though: we must all start trying to grab clones of fruits we find with those characteristics. I'm sure that as a collective we can recreate PE and keep it going right this time. I'll continue looking for phenotypes in my fruits, you all in yours. Then we can try crossing them and stabilizing them? no? Am I just retarded ?

I envision a time when all kinds of people start working on developing cool lineages. Muda's ESS and my RW is just the tip of the iceberg. It's why I have been as open as I could be to show that it's totally possible for average people to pull off. We have loads of undomesticated genetics floating around too, lots of potential in the community.
In 20 years there might be a super cool array of options.

I'm goin' balls deep over here. I say, if we can shoot for 5 super strains in 20 years, I could die a happy man.

I just feel like that's way too long. APE, ESS, and RW really haven't taken all that long. It would only take 2-3x the heads working on it to crank out several more.

oh totally! When I said 20, I was just reiterating from pasty's quote. But if a bunch of us assholes work at this, we can easily find 5 SS' in 5 years tops. We all just gotta remember to share
