I noticed bigger fruits on poo as well. Taller, thicker and denser than the ones I grew on coir. Figured it must be because of a more variety of nutrients or something. The straw I added probably helped beef them up as well. Granted, it was all MS but every poo tray grew bigger than every of the previous coir trays. I think that it's less likely to be genetics than it is due to the change in bulk.

Well we will see what's up. I noticed pretty damn big fruits on plain verm before so I have my own hunch. Straw also really helps with size, simply because of the water it brings to the table.

A clone is multiple genetics at once though, a sort of conglomerate genetic profile, rather than a single organism. An isolate/monoculture is more like a cannabis clone, being just one set of genetics.
Is that because fungi has multiple nuclei per cell? Presume it would be difficult to get a 'pure isolate'

Its because when a colony of multiple genetics fruits together many of those genetics get fused together. This can lead to some instability. However many clones are still very stable and predictable, just not as pure as a true isolate.

Thursday July 7th
Quick bump. Tubs are colonizing spawn run well and mycelium is starting to break through the pseudo coir casing. I have decided a quick patch might be a good idea for these to keep the potential consistent. A quick look at said tubs.
Clone A. Left tub is coir verm, hpoo and worm castings on the right

Clone B

Clone C

So far all three clones seem to be moving about the same rate which is nice. Hoping for pins in a week.

Just had a look at these guys and spotted some definite knots in both of the clone "B" tubs. Other tubs look like they want to start knotting soon, but for sure clone b is a full day ahead. That's 9 days from spawning. Should be visible pins tomorrow I think. Pics tomorrow.
Chalk up a point for clone b
