Haha the rest of my tubs aren't far enough to tell I'm just worried haha I think my orissa India tub is doing good just around the bottom poly it dries up a bit everywhere else is beaded with water so I just lightly mist the parts by the holes

Pastywhyte said: Well I agree that water is a huge factor. That's why I am always more worried about wet weights. In my mind the dry weight will follow, but I want maximum water usage. I find that if there is insufficient water to begin with, the fruits simply abort in order to allow the rest to mature. However this seems to often be ineffective as much of the water seems to remain.
I worked it out and each tub had about 1.8 liters of water in them (a little less for the poo tubs and a little more for the coir). With an average wet weight of 915 grams that means that the amount of water that ended up in the fruits was about was about 45% of the total water in the sub. This is about bang on in terms of efficient water use. I figure that probably 25-30% gets either consumed during cellular resperation and providing humidity to the tub which puts me right about 70-75% water consumed. This is my personal aim for what I feel is going to be the benchmark for an efficient grow. If you want it all in the first flush, better start tracking wet weights and BE. Dry weight at the end of the day tells me fairly little other than I have some fruits.
How do you utilize that is it just the way you dial in your tubs? I'm sure it is what I see in mine is I lose alot during colonization the water that condensates on the side I may have a cup of water along bottom between the bag I know a cup isn't much bbut it doesn't get put to use

It's a combination of things, genetics and we'll dialed in conditions are big. Deciding to bottom water or misting regimens are also important. A cup of water can be big, think about that in terms of fruits. 250 ml (1 cup) translates into 275 potential wet grams. That's like just under an oz of dry yield in the end.

Well I guess it's like the question threads. Once the question is outta the way people use it for chit chat I don't mind the off topic stuff, I think most of the meat is in the OP. That's where the learning can be done. To that end if there is any details people think should be added to the OP that I may have missed let me know and I may include them. Hopefully this may still be of value to people despite the banter

I use a total of 4 quarts for each tub and where my room is it is way too hard to prevent the condensation or atleast I haven't figured it out yet but I'm still fucking with dialing them in lmao... I think after I test out all my syringes and get some clones I will retire most of them besides prof course then it will be easier to work with shit ... and I never meant to use your thread like this but thanks

I don't usually bother with second flushes, but I wanted to see how these did on a second flush, especially to compare the poo to the coir. I dunked all the tubs and flipped the subs a couple days ago, now I got pins popping up. So far it looks like the edge goes to the mixed poo tubs, not surprising since the coir pumped out more.
I'm not going to bother with careful tracking of this, more of a just in case people were interested in the second flush. Will maybe post a pic tonight or tomorrow to update. Really anything extra at this point is just gravey.

I do second flushes if I don't have anything else going so yeah, I'm pretty damn interested in it's second flush performance.

So here is a prime example of why I don't mess with second flushes when I get a good first flush. All the messing around with dunking and shit. Yield is crap in the end.
Clone A, coir on the left poo on the right

Clone B

Clone C

The manure tubs definitely had more to give for this round. I am going to say that for these coir is the real one flush wonder. Gonna maybe sample some of clone C tonight with the wife. Gotta test em all.
