IS MY CAKE FRUITING NORMALLY?
    #23397623 - 06/30/16 01:43 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

So this is my very first grow of any mushroom in my entire life. I started these cakes in the fruiting chamber just three days ago. They were dunked and rolled in dry verm. This is the Malabar coast Psilocybe Cubensis strain.

This is one cake that I believe looks very good and healthy. There is already 15 pin heads visible growing!

Here is a couple pics of the second cake I am worried about:

As you can see from the pictures, the cake I am worried about has a lot of puffy puffy white mycelium (I think) growing off of it. There is no visible pin heads either. (I have been looking) Also there is a blue patch on it that I believe is just bruising of P Cubensis. Just wondering if this cake looks fine to you TCs and yes I have been fanning a lot.

IMO it looks like puffier mycelium than normal for the second 2 cakes. I know im having a problem with bacteria with my current mono, so that might be whats going on in yours. Good luck with them though.
