Strange mycelium growth on cakes in SGFC?? *PICS*
    #23396324 - 06/30/16 04:24 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

So I have added three cakes to my SGFC about 4-5 days ago and they we very well covered in verm. After the dunk and rinse I literally put each cake in a ziplock bag filled with verm and shaked it so it was much better cased then just rolling it in verm. So I have them on upside down jar lids with slightly moist verm for it to sit on which had great results with my other three cakes which are older and are fruiting nicely. So my question is what would be causing this admorality on my cakes. They are very white and have a lot of weight to them. Thanks to the lids they sit in I can take them out and mist all around. But the mycelium is really dense and clumpy but yet very white. In some spots it looks like knots kinda.

And this is how they looked before the mycelium started getting dense and clumpy around the cakes

the top 3 pictures look to me like the mycelium is reaching out slightly; but not much. usually means it needs more FAE.

as far as moisture content, i think it looks pretty good. but the pictures aren't making it 100% clear :p

good luck buddy!

Looks like you may be over misting or letting them dry too much and then over misting.

They also look a little bacterial.
