You guys are scaring me!! Haha, Just rushed to water them super well and make sure I still had two heheh. Its been like a billion degrees here lately....
What do you guys suspect the cause is? Any chance they just got too dry?
Thanks Ferrel! Its good to be back

No defo not to dry i keep a good eye on the conditions. Like i said the last one to fall off looked super healthy the stalk it had was nice and green and thick i checked on it earlier and it has gone the others i knew werent gonna make it as the stalk had shriveled up long before the berry dropped off. Just luck of the draw i think. Once my autoflower has done ill switch the lights back to what im now thinking is the flowering 12/12 and try again try to pollinate between flowers on both plants instead of pollinating the flower with its own pollen see if that helps at all.

Afaik its the same as novo to clone, although i will try when i get time. There is a variety that can only be grown through cloning iirc also it is the highest alkaloid producing strain it isnt a natural strain its produced by humans.

Journal of Ethnopharmacology 103 (2006) 439–447 Cocaine distribution in wild Erythroxylum species mentions that literature ( (Holmstedt et al., 1977; Plowman and Rivier, 1983) show Trux to have 0.42-1.02% cocaine and Novo 0.17-0.76%. Their own analysis results are in agreement with that showing 0.71 ± 0.02% for Trux and Novo not measured.
According to wiki E. novogranatense var. novogranatense (3 samples) contained 0.55-0.93% cocaine, with an average of 0.77% from an 'extensive study' but there is no reference provided.
Question is what the cause is for the variation in measurements for Novo, whether it is from response to growing conditions or where they are found, or some other inaccuracy in part of the measurements. It could just be less reliable / more variable.
Trux does not sound weak though, but in the vicinity of the higher concentrations reported for non-Trux Novo.

If you want something cloneable, I think Novo var Truxilense is what you're after.

Ive always heard the contrary. Novo is propagated through seed and coca is cloned. I may be wrong.

Man... You guys had me worried. I was all paranoid because these were my first fruits and everyone was saying theirs always fell off... Well mine are starting to turn red :O (watch them fall off tonight... heheh)

Anyways, Im hyped, and if I ever have a berry fall off Ill cry.

Oh! and has anyone tried rooting a cutting by cutting up the stalk a bit then wrapping some soil in aluminum foil around the wound? That way it can grow roots while still attached to the mother plant :O

Good work smasher buzzed for ya bro. Maybe it would assit the grow thread for those sucessfull with their fruits to post light cycles, nutes given basically any help to get the fuckers to seed. Any info you can give will help, hopefully my plan us to go through this thread and condense all the good info into one concise "how to" guide for all coca growers, in the hope to have one true guide from from real successful growers to save people the hardship of trawling pages of conflicting information writen and edited by us lots. Yeah woops sorry I meant to include info in my last post for that reason.
The biggest factor might be that mine are kept indoors, 18/6 light (though I doubt that influences fruit aborting), I cant give exact numbers but the air in my bedroom with all the plants is significantly higher humidity than they would get outdoors. My city is only 30 feet in elevation.
With other plants that abort fruiting in my experience... most common cause is dehydration, (obviously not the issue you guys are having) Stress from lack of nutrients (would be apparent by plant loosing lower leaves, Discoloration, etc.. etc.. you guys know)
My most similar experience is with my seed grown Pyrus pyrifolia tree. It is considered semi self fertile in that it is capable of fruiting alone but is significantly more productive with pollen from another seed. Hand polination of my single plant causes significantly more fruit to begin to form. however, %80 of them fall off. I assumed, its because the small tree cannot support the development of so many fruit so it aborts the smaller ones. (Likely incorrect)
** My best guess from limited experience without knowing your growing conditions would be lack of Humidity, and Direct Sunlight causing your fruits to abort. Since they are canopy dwelling trees they are used to high humidity and filtered light.

I believe novo var truxilense is only propogated via cuttings.
