Is the ph important in the seedling stage ?
I germinate in straighr coco coir at the begining. Then i lighten the mix as they outgrow their small pot.

Ive been after a,long time Bbw. But my plants never give me any. Right now one small branch has a couple of flowers at every node. Hopefully it gives me,just, one. Maybe its just not a seed producer.

There are 2 morphs of E. novo One of them only gets fertilized by the other, so if you aren't getting seeds good chance you have this one.

Some plants will fruit without being fertilized, and the seeds never mature. I wonder if this is true of Novos?

The red berry I first noticed 32 days ago came off with very little pressure today. The other two fell off 7-10 days ago. Judging by that I'd say the berries will be on the bush at least 3 weeks. I'm sending it off to a fellow collector today. I plucked my plants again a few days ago, it really doesn't seem to hurt them at all. I think I'll be more aggressive with that from here on out.

Switching to 12/12 seems to have helped as every flower in 24/0 died and dropped off then switched to 12/12 and boom 3 new flowers bloomed then fruited, maybe i just manually pollenated them better than the rest though.

I can't really figure out what triggers flowering here. Mine have very few flowers now, seems like I had more flowers last summer even through my plants were much smaller then.

I think mrmazdar has the right idea. Being so close to the equator in their native land, im sure that 12/12 has something to do with it setting fruit.

You're probably right, Ferrel. Mine were flowering a lot more in March and April than they are now. Hopefully I'll get another flush of flowers around the equinox in September. When it happens, I'll spend a few hours picking leaves and pollinating flowers with a tiny paint brush. Mine flowered a lot indoors last winter.
