I'm lucky modern shaman gave me seed. And its what I have now.

Wow ferrel... Yeah, these are breathtaking! I didn't know you gave it another go and that your plants looked so much better than last time! Well done my friend!

Thanks man. The hard part now has been trying to get berries. Flowers profusely but drops them all.

I've got 3 red berries on mine now, but my plants haven't been flowering much the past month. I just hope the berries don't get knocked off and washed away by a storm, which we have been getting a lot of. I hand pollinated using a twig or a few pieces of pine straw a few months ago, and I guess only 3 flowers got pollinated. I only fertilized once this year and that was in early May, I'll fertilize them again tomorrow, and I'll add a liquid iron supplement also. IIRC I got a good flush of flowers after fertilizing last summer.

my plant is grown under a T5 lamp, indoors you need to remember to put a fan on it or it will grow with a weak stem that constantly needs to be staked up.

Sweet I have a small one foot ballast I used for my cacti seedlings that I retired after I put them outdoors!
Do you test your soils ph level?
I've looked online for testers an they are either to cheap
Or too expensive So I'm wondering if it really makes a dofference

I need a ph tester for soil, although people seem to agree that a lowered ph helps, I never saw a number, if I were to guess i'd say 5.5 like hydroponic cannabis

You are not wrong
From various sources I have concluded that "The optimum soil pH for growing coca is between 4.7 to 6.0." So you were not far off

So I have a couple of questions, first one is for ferrel.
What do you do with your plants in the winter? I believe we live in a similar climate and would like an outdoor plant, but the weather is harsh in the summer and winter. I've had a lot of trouble acclimating plants outdoors from indoors.
Next question is how long do I wait before picking berries, one of them is turning red and I know I need to wait until it's fully red but how long after that?

Hey Chem, I e got a few red berries too. I check them every day, and I guess they will fall off when they are ready. I'm in North Georgia and mine do good in the winter in front of a window. It really is an easy plant to grow once they are out of the seedling stage.

Seems like I got very unlucky with my seedlings, 1 of them died because I let the case fall and damaged it, then 2 of them started to rot on the tips of the head/seed even after I transplanted to the new dry soil...one of them was still alive, but it was heading down, almost prone to break, I touched it a little bit to point it upwards with the help of a piece of pine bark, and it had broken...I will post some pictures...
<- the rottings at the tips of the seedlings
<- the inside of a seed but this young leaves seem like they are already rotten
<-the soil (orchid soil) It seems that its a very bad soil for this plant but I can't figure out why...if anybody got any assumptions to share, post them... does anybody know if pine bark retains a lot of moisture or if it is good for drainage?
Now I had 1 last survivor, but it seems like it is already rotting too...either the seedling is dry or it is rotting...I didn't water it for like 2 or 3 days and it got browner then it already was and started to fall to the side...this is annoying...I gave them morning light and afternoon light, should I just give it morning light?

If you're after more berries, I'm trying to put together a group order of these, so I can get a nice deal on them. Hit me up if you wanna buy some.

Althought winters here are rarely ever harsh i do bring them in if the weather dips below 45 or so. Depending on how they fare. Then i take them back out.
And second, as soon as its a deep red id pick it. Thats just me.

I suspected as much. Some of my seedlings have lost a few leaves, due to the heat, and arid climate that I live in. I chewed the small leaves with some baking soda for shits and gigs, and I swear I got a small numby. Might have even been a slight energy boost, but my tolerance is quite extraordinarily fucking high as shit... so I dunno.

Yeah definately get the numbing from not much leaves not super strong but you can feel it slightly numb, the energy may be placebo effect i get a boost from about 10 leaves and i rarely take anything nowadays so tolerance is real low, but you never know every person and plant is different.

Yeah, maybe my little baby novos that are on the verge of death (already *tear*) have 10% alkyloid content!

Mine don't seem to be very potent when chewed. Last winter when I had a mild case of the flu, I gathered up leaves my plants had dropped on the floor and made tea. I wouldn't say it was recreational, but it sure made me feel better. Since then I've reevaluated the possible uses of this plant. It seems to work best when I'm beaten down and feel like crap, and not so much when I feel good and I'm looking for a buzz. It just seems to be more medicinal than recreational.
Maybe my plants will get more potent as they get older, and maybe there is something to the myth that regularly picking leaves increases potency. Mine are ready to be picked again. The one I picked 3 weeks ago has definitely put on a lot of new growth and can be picked again. I'll see if there is any potency changes from 3 weeks ago.
Nearly 3 weeks ago I noted having one red and two white berries. The white ones turned red several days later. All three are still on the plant, I don't know how long they will take to mature. I'll let them stay attached until they come off with gentle pressure.
