In my apartment, apparently I can't grow Erythroxylum :'( At least whatever i do nothing seems to work - by now I know leafy plants in general can struggle here unless they have pretty thick / oily leaves arid-resistant and/or strong constitution. Or work with humidity domes despite them being tricky. Just too dehydrating here apparently.
I have two small plants which have hardly developed since I got em (and others have also struggled here), hardly any growth and just more leaves dropping than adding, as well as them turning yellow.

I have noticed that a guide for growing E. Novogranatense posted several times in this thread can no longer be found on this forum (the link leads to a deleted page). Would anyone who still has this guide mind posting it?

Good luck! Are cuttings from E. novo typically successful?

Yea I thought US has crazy laws. The U.K. Banned any psycho active substance other than nicotine, alcohol, and caffeine. So even "harmless" substances like kava, kratom, are evil drugs in the eyes of the law.

It seems like the cuttings that rarely does survive is from little thicker, older branches.

Hi all,
Very interested in all this. One question: how well would an E. novo. bush withstand being trasported? I will likely be moving a few states away next year and wouldn't want to start on such a slow-grower unless it could survive the trip.

I got my first E. coca var coca plant from Peru, sent in a box with all leaves taken away, bare root. It probably took something like 2 weeks at least in shipping, it was 60cm tall and stem like a pencil.
As soon as i put it in soil and watered lots of leaves starting to develop. So they can take quite rough shipping but remember that this was a bigger plant. With coca small plants and seedlings are very much more sensitive than bigger plants. It´s usually a struggle to keep them alive until they get bigger but if they make it then they are pretty hard to kill.

When you have gotten the plants pretty big, about 40-50cm tall they are quite roboust and can take some abuse like moving and shipping. When small seedlings they are more sensitive but can be re-potted, transported and even shipped by mail if just being careful.
