They could very well be Novo´s despite the little rounder leaf shape. The leafs seem thin and have a lighter color, this is typical for Novo´s.

I have messaged with the supplier and according to him what i have got is Novo and Ipadu berries mixed. I cant see any difference except some berries are little smaller.
I woul´d be very happy if i manage to get seedlings from both varietys

Well that's peculiar to sent the seeds together in one bag. The vendor probably assumed you will be able to tell them apart when they have grown a bit. Did he specify how many seeds of each you would be receiving? How was your germination rate the last time you ordered from that vendor? I never had a problem with viability, 80% of my current seeds have since germinated. Some seeds took a bit longer for the berry to decay, which delays their germination. I'm looking forward to seeing the var. ipadu grow. In a couple of weeks we can do a comparison!

It was supposed to be 50/50% novo and Ipadu´s. 65 berries stated but i got some extra. Last time i ordered Truxillence berries and the germination rate was good. I expect these to grow well also but one never know.

Hey mateo would ypu transplant these into 3 gallon pots?

Ive noticed that when ive transplanted these plants in the past, with no need to really, there is usually a burst of growth right after. And since its august and the really good season is winding down i thoight id just go for it But being as i have not grown this variety id like your input and others as well.

Ferrel,
I have same results as you, when repotting they get a growth boost. It´s probably the new soil that brings things the plant needs. I dont know if the pot needs to be much bigger unless the roots has filled up the pot. But a little bigger size seems good. I would try repot and hope for a growth boost while it´s still warm and sunny.
This make me realize i also must repot my seedlings and hopefully i also can get a boost before it´s time to bring them indoors. I will follow what you did and use a bit of bone and bloodmeal. As your seedlings seem grow so good it must be good stuff

Mateo, have you fertilized your trux plants yet? Mine are starting to look a bit hungry, like they have a bit of chlorosis. I think I'm gonna give them some fertilizer at quarter strength and slowly up the dose.

Get them some iron. Always helps with chlorosis.

Well i transplanted 4 of the largest into 3gallon/11.36 liter pots. If all goes well with the transplant ill go to work and when i return i will transplant the rest.

Now I will say this. The roots on these plants look way more vigorous than my novogranatense of the same age. I truly like this variety of medicinal plant way more.

Good job on those, Ferrel! Would you say they grow fast in comparison with other Erythroxylum spp. you have grown in the past? I definitely have never experienced this type of growth on seedlings, but I have also never grown them outdoors yet. How old are they now? And 11L pots is quite impressive, knowing that my couple of years old plants are in a ±1L pot.

Well ive done novogranatense various times and all times it was regular but these have some very explosive growth. They can take a lot of neglect. 14 days worth of it when im at work. Good feeders.
I have to look back throigh the pages and check but they are from the beginning of the season. My season. Maybe march. Not even a year old.
Pot size is a little more bigger than i thought i should go but fuck it. They can only keep geting bigger if you know what i mean.

They sure look like they can take it. It will hold water for longer when you're away too. You posted this just shy of four months ago! Really impressive.

Thanks man. April is right. They have sure gotten bigger.
Now i have enough to let one or 2 of the less vigorous ones stay outside this winter. Dont know if they will survive. I have looked on ebay at a s 300 watt led setup with tent and all do i could get them past this winter. Every year it seems like it gets colder. Either that or i get more old and fragile and its too cold for me.
Anybody want to reccomend some good leds? I currently have my eye on this.

Dont know if its any good but its pretty cheap. I would keep it in the garage with a small heater.
