I think the berries i got is either Novos or Truxes, and not what i ordered. He specifically agreed on sending them i 2 separate bags and seeing this one bag, he probably got it mixed up with another order.
I just prey they aren´t Truxes as i have several seedlings of those already. They certainly are some form of Erythroxylums so it´s no huge loss. Little annoying not knowing what they are though.
On the bright side, i got a nice peruvian hat

Do these look like true E. novo seedlings to y'all?

They are looking like E.Coca or trux, does it have the lines under or not?), Novo has thinner pointed leaf.

Thank you TimOne! I will try again. I'll ask the gardener if I can get some cuttings off the bush. It sucks to just steal branches....especially because he seems to be a very kind person! To end my Erythroxylum story for now I attached a photo to show the well established root system of my last cutting I had. The sun killed it :/

Intresting. I will certainly try this. Just one watering will do or you do several waterings with 20ppm GA3?
Thanks for the tip

I think it´s little early to tell. But they do have the E.coca or Trux leaf look. Novo´s usually are not so broad and longer leafs, they are also thinner and more of a lighter green color.

Thats amazing! As i noticed before like on yours, they start from the very end. You know now that sun will kill them if exposed suddenly, first shade, then increase each day by one hr in the sun...and give them all your time, ending up in south america growing it @ Poison: yes a garden center, 19.95 Eur-5 seeds.

That's the one I was referring to. The reason I didn't mention the actual site, is because it isn't allowed to share non-sponsor vendors, so I advise you to edit it out of your post!

These are my novo from years back.

Leaves are way different than trux.

My Novo leafs look the same as your plants Ferrel. One can see how they are different from other varietys. Mostly the lighter green color but leafs are also much thinner on novo´s.

Way thinner and more flimsy. I like the truxillanus though. Big nice and thick leaves. Although one pheno in this bunch has thin leaves but way bigger than novos.

I think the Truxillence leafs will thicken up when the plants get bigger and older.
My E.coca seedlings also have pretty thin leafs but my older E.coca has much thicker leafs. It seems like plants look little different when young, for example leaf thickness.

I can see the veins and midrib on the bottom of the leaves as well.

I think you better wait until the leafs and the plant get little bigger before trying to conclude variety. The parallell lines are not very visible on some young plants. It will not be long before you can see all features though. When the plants are about 30cm tall you have all features developed so they are fully visible.

I can imagine Truxillence leafs are nice for chewing with the extra essential oils. I hope i can get my seedlings to grow as good as yours.
