I just wanted to ask if these plants can be overwatered. It’s been raining every day here for nearly 3 weeks, and my plants seem OK. But if it continues I may move them to where they don’t get rained on. I’m thinking they might like a little bit of a dry period between waterings. I probably should give them a good dose of nutrients, I haven’t fertilized anything yet this year.

What variety are they? Novogranatense is more drought tolerant. Althoigh i dont know if this means that if thwy get overwatered it will be bad.
Id get them, somewhere safe and dry til,the rains subsides a bit.

They can be over watered they hate wet feet. I let mine dry out then water, not to the extent that they start to die just so the pot feels really light.

I agree fully that they dont like to stand in soil that are very wet for longer periods of time. I check the soil before watering so its dry. I try to get the soilmix airy to drain water away well, with perlite for example and i put leca balls in the bottom of pot. But since i have mine indoors i have no rains. I have also noticed they like new soil after some time, maybe because i suck at fertilizing correctly.

Slow release is your best bet buddy. Never had problems with a slow release fertilizer. Always works as indicated.

I think im going to stop using them liquid fertilizers and going more soild stuff. Maybe not stop with the liquid frets but lower them and start add things in the soil or topdress. Real shit seems good and maybe try bone and bloodmeal.

Just admit it Mateo, the seeds aren't your main concern. It's just a front to disguise an alpaca hat! Comes in handy during those cold, long Scandinavian winters I suppose. Of course your government is coming for you once they find out you discovered alpaca fur is warmer than that of a reindeer! You would single-handedly plummet the entire economy of your country if this became public. Even Santa Clause is going to come after you, so beware!
All shits and giggles (and stereotypes) aside, hope you'll be having better luck this time with the postal system! Good luck.

I think the alpaca hat will fit me nicely, i allways wanted one of those. Maybe i should´t wear it in public though, dont want to upset santa claus. I wouldn´t get any cristmas gifts and i like those.
I figure the postal system kind of must do me a fawor after the troubles ive had with them. This will turn out allright, i can feel it in my little toe.

Well the casualty was 2 only. Slowly but surely ill weed out the bunch and only the fittest survive.

The leaves though dont remind me of novogranatense or coca. They are like right in the middle.

And the undersides of the leaves have no parallel lines. Which means i have the real deal truxillanus.

Sprinkled half teaspoon bonemeal and half teaspoon bloodmeal in one of the E.coca seedlings topsoil, mixed and watered a bit. I also added a few of these small different colored fertilizer balls on top of the soil. I wanted to see it wasent too much for the seedling before adding it to them all. Hopefully it works well. Thanks for the bone and bloodmeal tip, Ferrel. Slow release sound perfect.

I added milorganite to mine. Slow release organic nitrogen. I dont know exactly how that works but it seems to be doing them good. Then with all this rain i wont need to water them for sometime. They are very droight tolerant.
And no problem buddy. I aim to help. Organic slow release is the way to go. Feed the soil and not the plant.

I think you are right, organic slow release seems give much better results than the liquid fertilizers i have tried before. I havent tried these blood and bonemeal ones before, only manurebased fertilisers. I will se how they work now. One good thing with slow release ferts is that one adds them like one time per growing season, maybe two. The liquid ferts one add all the time.

It seems the al pacha fashion has changed a bit.
I think your al pacha hat was way cooler Ferrel.
 Erythroxylum Novogratinese var. Truxillence
Quite a few berries has begun sprout, like this. A good sign, indeed.
Im going to let the sprouts get to about 1cm, then i will plant them. For now they rest in slightly moist sphagnum moss as usual.
I have been looking forward to get a Truxillence plant for a while now. It seem getting closer now.
