ello ferrel_human, what happened to your plants? Bro have germinated more seeds or I think? lately there is winter and rain all over the world and it has wreaked havoc even in my garden.
So since I could not change my seeds or make an exchange with anyone, I decided to sow all of them, I suppose more than 200 coca seeds, and after a few weeks I am seeing that they have germinated successfully, this to remove the outer shell increases their percentages of germination, coca likes to germinate a sandy ground. so you should always integrate the ingredients well

Transplanted all yesterday and made a mess  the wife was not happy with.

Top dressed with starter tone, bone and blood meal. Watered with half strength fish emulsion and kelp extract. My wife says it smells like shit.:aweshit:

Looking good! What soil mixture did you use? I've heard about fish emulsion having a rather pungent smell, but won't it subside after a couple of days? Couldn't you just brush the spilled soil off your porch? It's impossible to not make a mess while repotting. I brush spilled soil into the slits between the planks on my terrace. Most likely it will eventually clog the drainage channel, but hopefully I won't be living here anymore when that happens.

Its half coir and perlite and half ecoscraps potting soil. Good stuff and they are thriving.

I think everyone with this hobby creates a mess quite often.
My wife complains quite much but usually cleans it up before i had a chance to do it.
Damn, im lucky to have her.

Abraxxas, nice to see germinating seeds, looking good.

Ferrel, the Trux seedlings look absolutely wonderful.
They look better than my coca and novo seedlings that i also need to repot a.s.a.p.
I have some blood and bonemeal, i might give it a try.
How much should one use of these things?
I dont have any kelp or fish emulsion so i have to skip that.

I have tried citrus soil(lower PH soil) and watering with lower PH water for my bigger coca plants but it seems they grow much better in standard potting soil and watered with tapwater.
Very strange, but i better stick to what works best for me.

What's the pH of your tap water, Mateo? Over here it's around pH 8-9. My plants do seem to appreciate the acidified tap water (pH 6). But like you said, just stick to what works best!

I consider myself lucky, since my better half has a green thumb herself. We maintain our terrace garden together, but usually I take care of my ethnobotanical plants myself. She would even help me out with mycology related stuff.

I think my tapwater is closer to 7, maybe thats why it´s ok.

You are truely blessed hombre :hatsoff: thats kind of a dream of mine, to meet someone who shares my passion for plants and nature. My last gf did have a deep appreciation for nature, but her thumbs were in no way green... shes young though and apparently bought a few plants after we split up, so maybe things are changing in that regard.

But thats whats up man, im happy i read that :super:

Anyone know how much blood and bonemeal one should use when repotting small seedlings?
I don´t want to use too strong dose as im quite concerned about these small seedlings should make it to fullgrown plants.
Im going to use standard potting soil slightly fertilized with some perlite in it.

I used a tablespoon of each. And 2 tablespoons of kelp meal.

If you just repotted the seedlings, why would you give them a top dressing of those slow release fertilizers and not just mix it in with the soil? Not saying I think it's a bad idea though. Is it so that every time you water them, they will get a little dose of it? That's how I do it with the worm castings too..

Thanx Ferrel, I think this will be good for the small seedlings.

I will repot them right now.
I think i use a little bit less blood and bone meal than you used as the seedlings are still quite small.
I follow your style and use it as a top layer.

Maybe i should use a somewhat lowered PH on the water.
I have had good results with tapwater but the Novo seedlings have too pale leafs.
A lower PH might make them absorb things like iron, calcium, magnesium and such easier and thus make them more healthy.
Maybe a small amount of epsom salt will be good.

About 2 months ago a friend posted an envelope to me containing some E.novo berries.
The envelope never arrived, and i thought it was confiscated by customs or somthing similar.

Today the envelope suddenly got delivered.
The envelope has not been opened before it arrived to me.
It showed signs of some brown gooey substance coming through the paper of the envelope in some places.
I opened it and found the bag had leaked and the berries fermented and rottening in there.
It smelled really bad from the bag.

The date it was shipped according to the poststamps was almost 2 months ago.
I rinsed the berries with water and this is how they are looking now:

Do you guys think these are still viable?
The seed kernels look good i think.
