Can coir be used to germinate a berry? And is there a specific age the berry should be before placing in the germination bag? I have an almost ripe berry, hopefully it matures.

Awesome thanks. More flowers are starting to come in now. Do you use any phosphorus for flowering?

I usually use moist sphagnum moss. But i guess coir will be good also.
Naum made a guide if you want to look, seem very good. It includes germinating the berries. A guide to growing Erythroxylum novogranatense

Coir should be fine. Plant the berry when it's ripe if possible. If it drops off then plant it anyway. I'm not sure when the seed inside becomes viable. Would be interesting to know this. Do we need a red berry? A yellow or orange one....??

As have I. I have a suspicion that perhaps the orange may be viable. At some stage the seed will stop developing and energy goes into ripening the fruit. Just a thought and I can't experiment as I don't grow the plant.

Lucky, you have got E coca seeds safely.. Unfortunately,my custom country is straight in importation..I know someone inside my country who sells e coca seeds to worldwide, but he isn't enough friendly and doesn't want to sell coca seeds to people in our country .I understand why he do that, because grow every coca (erythroxylum) type is illegal in my country..
E coca is more cocaine containe than e novo, but E coca less total alkaloid containe than e novo..
Back to topic.. 3 weeks ago ,I plant 3 novo seeds but only one seedling.
