Think about the countless wars waged on this leaf. Its hard to imagine. So harmless.
Shouldnt thwre be a war waged on sugar cane and corn too.

You could make a tincture for sublingual use?
I'm down to 4 plants, one of the seedlings just went straight brown and shriveled overnight... Just added some ventilation with a fan hanging from the fluorescent light fixture. I'd like to just leave them more open now to let the soil dry well, take the domes off but I am scared for em...
One seedling's leaves look a bit crumpled, I thought they develop the leaves folded and not inflate them... something must be up..
Premature leaves seem to go brown a bit too easily even though I've only seen it slightly here and there. No idea whether I should be more concerned about infections from the bad ventilation the domes give em or the limited humidity in the air in my house...
Maybe transfer them to one big humidity dome already that has perlite in a tray on the bottom and aim some airflow into the crack?
How are yours BBW?

Can you grow them outside? I germinated mine on a windowsil and then took them outside under my elm, tree. They grew good there and were slowly being killed,of. The ones that were left were the strong ones adn its what im left with. I feel that whole needing humidity thing is not true. To germinate yes but after that breeeze and fresh air is suffice. Good luck Solipsis. Hope some make it

What are your antacids made of mate? Mine are calicum carbonate and magnesium carbonate bases my spit very well turns litmus purple i throw 4 in my mouth while chewing, baking soda doesnt make my mouth go numb at all the coca does that. Baking soda is just a slightly stronger base meaning you need more antacids but i cant stand the taste of baking soda so antacids are a reasonable replacement.

They are calcium carbonate. But yeah its the alkaloids of course that cause numbness. And true the baking soda is more base. Its my favorite base really. Ive tried ash as well.

I think this might be related with them being the Novo variety, the one you are growing, they probably can or should be drier, since those grow in lowland areas, with less humidity, less rain, they probably use drier soils, hence the higher ph rates and also, these are crop varietys not native varietys, so they were adapted to fewer climate conditions. What you stated might actually be some usefull information. Remember these are very rare plants and almost nothing is known about them. Post your thoughts if you want to contribute.
