Hey jellyfish, are those E. novo or E. coca? Did you just remove the humidity dome or get them used to lower humidity slowly? Any signs that it is too dry, like brown leaf tips?
What soil are you growing in?

They're supposed to be E.novo. Sold as seeds.
I just removed the dome because I didn't have anything to use as a bigger dome but they needed to go into bigger pots.
The plan was to just keep a close eye on them and if they began to wilt at all I would get them into something, but I think since I had already stopped misting the domes a while ago, and since the domes weren't perfect either, that they had experienced a bit of a gradual humidity drop already.
They're growing all wonky right now and losing a lot of leaves, but they've done this before, shed a bunch and then kept growing.
The leaves that are on the plants though look healthy, no dry tips.
I will return with pics.
Thanks everyone.

I just got some berries, from PR. Homie didn't check the mail while I was away on holiday and they sat for a few days im a frigid mail box. Gonna try succulent mix, coir, and soil to germinate. I hope they're viable. The variety was not stated, just erythroxylum.

Yeah especially after the chilly mailbox! I'm excited and hopefully more will pop too. As long as I have this one I can clone it. Is there a reason why I couldn't collect fresh leaves in the deep freeze over time?

Those don't really look like Erythroxylum seedlings to me tbh.. What species is it?
Here are a few old pictures of Erythroxylum coca or novogranatense seedlings. They look practically the same when young. Notice the shape of the cotyledons and the color and length of the stem.

Unsure exactly, I guess it could be miscellaneous seeds in my coir.

This coir and verm was hydrated via bucket tek, spilled on the floor and then left in an open bucket for a week or so. I hand scooped it into this tray set and spritzed with the faucet spray. Well I'll continue to observe. I ready they can be PITA to germ. Might mist the coir, getting a little dry.

My e. novo died . Had to move apartments and during it all, it got exposed to the cold and didn't make it.
It was pretty. I miss it. Guess I'll try and get some seeds again next year since I think they're out of season now.

I was recently gifted several E. Nova cuttings and a germinated seed. The cuttings have been in a dome under 24hr light for the past ten days and seem to have rooted. I’ve read that most people have not had success so any advice would be greatly appreciated. The seed has been in soil for 5 days should I help it out of its shell or let it go?url=http://files.shroomery.org/files/22-14/917240727-0B65FCC4-1530-4EC8-A0C6-77952931ACD6.jpg] [/url]

Leave the seed on its own and provide humidity. Here is a good write up on germinating novo berries.

A friend of mine has a coca plant as a house-plant, it isn't in the greatest looking shape but it has been alive for at least 2 years now just doing its thing near a window with limited sunlight (temps mostly around 60F to 65F, humidity is likely around 50% to 70%). I feel the plant could benefit from a lot more direct sunlight and some warmth but kinda limited on ideal spaces for it around the house.
It is kinda "lanky" and stretched out a bit....About 2 feet tall, long vine-like "branches" 1ft to 2ft long growing off the main stalk and it is only developing leaves at the tips of the branches, the leaves are healthy looking but they do shrivel and drop after not too long. The plant is only producing leaves on the tips of the branches/stems.
I will get a pic posted eventually to show what sort of shape this plant is in.
Is it possible to propagate this plant via cuttings/clones?
The "branches" coming off the main stalk are so long I was thinking maybe trying air-layering. Or could some rooting hormone alone do the trick on a cutting?
But I don't want to impact the health of the plant, not sure how sensitive/finicky this plant is. I don't know much at all about this plant.

openmind, sound like it wants some warmth and sunlight. Try moving it outside if the weather is good. I have one under some papaya trees so it is protected from direct sun.
Taking cuttings from these seems very finicky, if you have the ability to air layer sounds like a good option. I have some air layers on a big kratom tree out front, appear to be making progress.

Do they prefer indirect sunlight?
