I just realized that this show is on Hulu. I'm probably gonna start watching a lot of that. I've seen one episode and it was pretty funny but people seem to love that show

Shit, maybe this would be the time to actually watch this.
I feel like it'll just piss me off, though; seeing how from what I've heard it was axed way too soon... But I hear there's a movie

Moon wasn't very good but follow 2001 up with it's sequel 2010.

The movie is called Serenity. A good choice.

Right on. Thanks
That's funny, I've heard good things about Moon... I think Burke raved about it at one point. May be mistaken, however.

Thanks.. To be honest, though.....
The stones are chronic and the doctors have had me on pain meds for quite awhile.... So therefore I am dependant on them. I don't want to have to take anything in order to function properly every day and I don't want to be a fucking pill addict... So, I am taking the next several days to detox and withdrawal from the opioid pain meds.
I've weaned myself down, but with every drop it makes me feel like shit, and I don't want to feel like shit for the few months it'll take to wean off, so I am going cold turkey and getting it done in days, not weeks or months. (not counting PAWS, just the acute, terrible symptoms)
I gave my meds to my sister to reduce the temptation of giving in to the pain it causes.
So, I've went and got breakfast shakes and soups and juices and vitamins and shit like that and will be riding this out at home, sick.. So while it's technically kidney stone related, the reason I'm laid up is the pills, not the stones. They'll be back soon, but I just don't wanna be a slave to any meds.. So I'm taking control and getting this over with.

So, since I won't be able to sleep much nor get out, television is something that I'll have to occupy my time and mind with, hence this thread
Really appreciate all the help and suggestions thus far, everyone

Damn....good luck...I had a pain pill addiction from a bad hip (oxycodone, hydrocodone) years back but I just tapered back from 10 7.5 mg pills a day to 1/2a pill twice a day...then stopped..Took me a month and it wasn't really that bad. I also used a little kratom to help the mild withdrawals.
I did have those withdrawals when I was on the high dosage and for some reason couldn't get my script filled quickly enough...They were nasty and I swore to never be dependent on them.
Good luck man...sending good vibes and wishes for you.

Wow, shLonger. I had no idea. Good on you though, that's a fuckin huge decision to make, and a gutsy one. It'll suck, but I don't think it'll be anything you can't handle. Just gotta steel your resolve and you'll eventually come out on the other side a free man. Don't overlook stuff like vitamins and Gatorade. I've been through it a few times myself, so if you have any questions or need anything at all, you know how to find me. Good luck dude, I'm proud of you already.

One thing I like to do in that position is to keep my viewing/reading light. Don't spend too much time with deep or dark subject matter; it lends a gravity to your own situation and everything can seem very heavy and overwhelming. Ime, I think it's best to watch a bunch of comedy type stuff. I also watch horror because it has the same "fluff" appeal as most comedy does. Stay away from drama and stuff that's like real-life depressive.

OK.. Good call then, Burke.
It's the anxiety and RLS that have killed my attempts at this previously.. That and being silent about it, without the support I now have. Re: Bob Ross. I just saw his show on Netflix. I never watched it as a kid, but heard about it, so I watched a few episodes the other day and wow! What a calming man!
