My bad. I know it's been gone over a million times. Between myself an my friends included. It just hit me again how idiotic and senseless it is the other day looking at my little plants and realizing I might have to kill them because my fam most likely doesn't want me to grow herb again. It pisses me off. I got mad love for all life, and particularly life I helped raise, and plants are dear to my heart and having to kill them because of a ridiculously stupid law, because our monkey government and those who control and influence it are fools.
I should have titled it and aimed the thread more in the direction of just a general hatred and cry out outrage against the drug war.

No you don't. I avoided killing my herb at harvest as well as I could; leaving enough foliage for survival and continued growth. Admittedly a few didn't survive the combination of shock and intense heat we were having. 
And I haven't killed them yet. I'm trying to avoid it for as long as possible.

The government makes more money off the cartels than they would off taxes if made legal. The prison system would take a huge hit, and the private ones would go broke without the subsidies they only get by having a certain % level of capacity. It would throw off our 25% of the worlds prisoners with 5% of the population stats.

It all started with pot pretty much. Read the Emperor wears no clothes. That should explain most of it.
Basically pot is illegal because of racism and money/pure greed. At least that's what it started as. Now it's still about money.
It was originally because hemp was/is a far superior product in every possible way to cotton, they had to make it illegal to make people switch.
Hemp used to be used for just about fucking everything, in multiple areas. Textiles/Clothes, food, plastics, oil, building material... the new synthetics companies couldn't compete.
Pre-prohibition, hemp was the top crop in the world due to its practical uses in hundreds of applications.
They had to demonize marijuana in the public eye to make it illegal.. and with it went hemp.
Fucking Dupont and FUCK Henry J. Anslinger.
The rest of the good drugs followed after that and after Nixon got his dirty fucking hands on everything.
Alcohol is legal because it kills you and dulls the senses. And they tried banning it once and that turned out violently. Potheads are less likely to blast you with a tommy gun
