Morning glory qs * 1
    #23392639 - 06/28/16 11:16 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hey all! There's an inactive species of morning glory that runs rampant around here. I was wondering if I introduced an active species of it would do the same?

nah, i doubt it, all depends on night time temperatures when you harvest seeds from what ive experienced, have grown them for many years, purpurea, vilocea, and just started with rivea corymbosa this year.

purpurea *can be* just as active as vilocea, they just tend to bloom during hotter parts of the years and i believe there is also more fluctuation in their species to begin with. IF you have a purpure phenotype that flowers into late summer/early fall and you only harvest THOSE seed pods you can have great results, especially with extractions

that being said, even with vilocea only like 1/5 of the doses are a real winner, most just end up with mild effects that mesh nicely with some cannabis, after a bit of a tummy ache. extractions can help avoid this as well

my only ones to flower so far have been purpurea of course lol

but i got a ball ball of tangled vilocea and corymbosa as well lol, doing quite nicely, old pic, the mass is about twice this now. should flower much later season, and the corymbosa especially should be quite nice, reports are fresh seeds can take as little as 50 for someone my size, and they dont contain the emetic the ipomea morning glories do. I grow them together because itll look nice and the pods will be EASILY distinguishable, all three species could grow together and you could EASILY tell the seed pods apart at harvest, only problem is telling my purpurea phenotypes apart from one another, so i weeded them out and am growing them separate.

the local purpurea mixed in, the wild ones, completely inactive for whatever reason, i tend not to harvest the purpurea anymore because i cant tell em apart from the wild ones mixed in.

and THAT being said, you might gro the same species and have completely differnt results, this is one of THE most variable plant psychedelics ive used on a semi regular basis, but if you grow some from a potent batch of seeds, and harvest ONLY the ones that flower late in seasons when nights are nice and cool, and harvest them early mornings and store cool, you SHOULD* have good results..

both my MOST profound experiences (outside DMT anyway) AND my most gut wrenchingly terrible experiences have come by way of Morning Glories, and after ten years or so i still cant perfectly reliably replicate those experiences, like i said, its about a 1 in 5 deal for me. But at those odds personally i find morning glories to be very worth it...

most people dont.
