Do these look dehydrated?
    #23392083 - 06/28/16 07:59 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

B+, 5 cakes, proper SGFC.

Anomalies= screen door screen for small perlite particles.

These seemed to grow quicker than the other strains I have going but they were stunted with tiny caps that opened earlier than I anticipated. It has been like this for 3 days now and no spores have dropped.

I threw the hygrometer in last night to see the average humidity and it was lower than all the other chambers. I set my mister to stream and hit the perlite between the cakes, I then looked underneath to see if the water was draining and saw the FC had a "T" intersecting split across the bottom. Some metal wire stitching and hot glue and I was running with scissors again.

Anyhow, I was just wondering if I should pick these now or if I should hold off for any reason. There was no blueing on the cakes and at times I left standing water on the tops with extra vermiculite, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Thank you guys

Thank you sir!

I have been reading a lot about misting and I have been doing it several times a day. If I see no moisture on the surface, I water and I left standing water on the top of the cakes. I kinda was wondering if I overdid it because my first grow turned blue from not enough moisture.

Dialing it back, thanks again Adden

:whathesaid: the bruising and lack of verm makes me believe if anything they got too dry lol.

Also op did say he waits til there's no moisture to mist? You want it to always have a glisten with it going back and forth between damp glistening to almost wet glistening

Kk...

As I said, I was spraying them every few hours as I am home all the time. I would check with a flashlight to see if there was any condensation on the surface and if not spray and fan it, probably 7 or 8 times a day.

I DID leave standing water on the tops of them but added vermiculite after a while because I got a little worried.

The crack along the middle of the bottom of the FC no doubt dried the perlite quicker but it still stuck to my fingers when I ran them through it.

I have succeeded with 2 mystery strain grows so far and did nothing different with this one... just over 28 grams on the first and 21 on the second grow, both are waiting for a 2nd flush now.

Bottom line they look F'd up, no spores...
Mad season, you helped me out with my first grow, Inocuole, I have read some of your posts, thank you both for coming. To pick or not to pick, that is my question. I picked 4 before I thought I'd come and check the board for something and saw the responses. I will leave it till I hear back.

Yeah they really do look dry small capped and skinny. So this particular variety isn't as forgiving as the first 2. They're lacking light, moisture, and most importantly the sides have no verm at all.. You should post pics of your chamber mate. I forgot when and how I helped you before

You just gave me advice on something in the past, I don't remember what it was but it was a rookie thing and it helped me out in the end.

Here is the FC. 1/4" holes every 2" all 6 sides, 55 litre (Walmart), 4 " perlite or so, and a screen to stop the stuff from falling out.

Do you think I should pick? And if so, all of them or just open caps, or...

Also, the verm is covered in myc on the sides so just some of it is showing through.

I believe the huge crack in the bottom had a role, if I didn't have the screen perlite would have been all over the floor in the morning.

Yeah the crack really sounds like it is fuckin it up. I'd recommend making a new chamber. Get one with a clear lid too.

You don't have to pick them. I'd pick them when you pick everything else. They don't look like they'll be dropping spores, so I'd just treat them as aborts, which get picked with everything else.
