First time growing, critique my setup!

Hey guys, total noob here, decided try my hand at growing some little b+ shroomies. I started off simple, followed the PFtek with brf and studied RR's videos to death.
Right now I only have one cake in the fc. I birthed two more yesterday, and I have 4 more that are fully colonized and are currently finishing up the week long consolidation period. Here are a few pics...
The chamber:

Not sure if that's the proper way to post pics, so excuse me if I fudged it up.
I have 1/4 inch holes that are 2 inches a part on all 6 sides of the container. I have 4 inches of perlite. A 6500k (daylight) CFL blub that I have running on a 12/12 timer.
Here's a close up of my current cake:

How does the cake look? It's been in the fc for about 7-8 days now and still nothing. I know, patience, patience, patience is key. I just want to make sure it all looks well. I've been misting 3 times a day and fanning 4-6. I don't have a hygrometer (planning on picking one up today), so as of now I don't know what the humidity level is. I was thinking of maybe dropping the misting down to twice a day and see how that fairs.
So overall how's it looking? What can I do better?

You look good. Very pro SGFC. (Can't see but assume you have holes on the bottom as well?) To me, the cakes look dewey (not wet) and that is what you want.
You *MIGHT* want some more perlite in the bottom 3-4 inches deep is the standard. You might be at 3" from what I can see. And MAYBE raise it up a little more. Skip the hydro won't tell you much.
It is a big chamber for a single cake. They usually like to have buddies--I believe that is helps with surface humidity for multiple cakes to be close together. That factor just might extend your pinning time, but I wouldn't worry about that either.
For me, I would simply keep doing what you are doing. Get some other stuff started while you wait.

Looking good so far! Glad you followed the sgfc tek properly, so many new people come here with half ass setups and leave us a lot of explaining.

Yes or at the least give it 1-2ft away from any walls and elevated at least 6-8" from any surface.
