Hello!
I am a huge fan of Terence Mc Kenna and I am strongly fascinated by his statements and presentation. Are there any other people that speak about all theses psychedelic issues that you know?
Greets!

On the psychedelic side, try Timothy Leary or Aldous Huxley. Alan Watts is good too. On the more philosophical side, I'm a huge fan of Sam Harris. His work also sometimes touches on psychedelics and spirituality.

I know Leary and Huxley. Watts sounds interesting. I will have a look.
Anyone else who might be alive?
I recommend Chris Kilham. Look on youtube, you will be surprised. He works for a famous TV-channel in the US and is there known as the medicine hunter. He talks freely about Ayahuasca and medicine plants.

the word 'you' comes to mind. .
one thing Terence has in common with a long, long line of greats, is that he emphasizes learning and discovering for oneself - we should be creators of culture, in his idiom. . . the more I learn about the world, this seems to be the main thing, or close to it..
McKenna was so great partly, to me, because he was so earthy. . . at least, that's a feeling I get. . . one who was rather brilliant, who comes to mind is Joseph Campbell... he was into mythology largely, and wrote beautifully -- not all that he wrote is gold, but some of it -- really is. I dunno if he was into enthneogens - like i say, some of it is really beautiful and brilliant... that's the most / best i can say
um... let's see... going back in time, one can see a few good ones. . Novalis was quite wonderful, (i, like probably a lot of others, first saw his name in Steppenwolf, by Hesse. . . heh... i acidentally wrote 'by Siddhartha' at first ;p)... speaking of whom, Hesse is a decent one. . . some of his poems, for instance in the book "Wandering" are quite beautiful. . . and i love, how he writes about trees. Novalis wikiquote for instance is a good intro... 'Before abstraction, all is one, but one like chaos. . . after abstraction everything is united again, but this union is a free binding of autonomous, self-determined beings.'
in terms of visionary and magic and simple. . . that kind of stuff. . . there is one name I have been meaning to share for a little while now. . . i mention him here because of one line from 'a Rose for Ecclesiastes,'. . . okay, i found it. . . .'I was again Rimbaud with his hashish, Baudelaire with his laudanum, Poe, De Quincy, Wilde, Mallarme and Aleister Crowley. . . ' haha - it was laudanum, i just spelled it wrong. . . so , I mention him because of his magnum opus, which is. . . beyond description; it's a magical story, and how it relates is that. . . heh, it is perfect for Shroomery topics. . spirituality and magic and what not, altho',, to the specific question, it is probably slightly off-topic... but then, i don't mind doing things poorly.
..but! ah, T Mckenna, who is like him? Alan Watts, certainly, but again - (well, and not alive), one of the main things is that these guys -- all can be gone beyond. . . and it's good to. I won't quote Goethe again, but he once made the point that any good pupil will surpass his master. . . actually, he says it in reverse, but yeah. Oh - and if one is going for Watts or someone. . . I very much recommend going to the most direct. . . like - finding the straight-forward best, things like Seng Ts'an,. . . and others, and then one will have a good foundation for any other exploring.
Honestly, if one were looking for someone of a similar nature to McKenna, probably the best would be along the lines of a Qi Qong master. . . ah, i notice now that you didn't qualify they had to be alive -- so, as da Vinci wrote, one should study the ancients. there's a lot of good people in the world to day--- for sure --- but, the ones from the past had such a wealth to offer as well. . . . McKenna was very much into shamanism - so these are also worth checking out -- if one is into this spiritual path. . . so, Novalis, Black Elk,
enjoy. . . peace and light

Probably my favorite person in this field would be Graham Hancock. He's started as reporter then had a mass of realizations when he covered the Ark of the Covenant when he was younger, he then went on to study lost technologically advanced civilizations, the rise and fall of consciousness through the ages and what ufo/spirit contact is. I love all of his work because he just generally wants to find the truth and is not swayed by anything but his own direct experience.
He highly regards psychedelics as the main factor of humanity's evolution in all aspects (mental capacity, spirituality, physically ect.) and has done a lot of work with Ayahuasca and Psilocybin and many more, his books are mind blowing and that are written in a way that dissolves mental constructs which I believe is crucial to gaining important knowledge, just an awesome person all round and I highly recommend anyone to throughly check him out if you haven't already.
Peace, Sillycybe.

It will be as wonderful as the personality of a child.' 'Know thyself' was written over the portal of the antique world. Over the portal of the new world, 'Be thyself' shall be written.' . 'Oscar "Fingers O'Flaherty" Wilde was born on October 16 1854 in Dublin, Ireland to an Anglo-Irish family. His father Sir Jack Wilde was an author and a scientist (his most famous contribution to the world was an early form of LSD), whilst his mother Gaynor made her name as an entertainer of little note.' , lotta brilliant

Maybe like Graham Hancock or Terence's brother Dennis McKenna but there will honestly never be any like Terence.

When we idolize people it opens the door for deception, anyone who takes this mans word for granted has been decieved. He is an illuminati pawn who had mastered the art of double talk and takes pride in his word. He is opinionated, and he promotes sin and emphasizes on many gateways to an ego brain. God is not love and happiness, God is strength and acceptance, if we follow another individuals path, it will most often lead us into a ditch. This man simply tells us what we want to hear and inspires his followers to act out of spite against society's natural fear of disobedience. our ego is the only obstacle to obtaining God, and this man certainly embraces his ego

Seems more like his version of it. Direct experience can be very flawed, no matter how powerful. To not be swayed by anything else is just...blind.
