Rose Bush Help!

I have to buy four rose bushes for a landscaping project. They are in a highly visible area, so everyone will see if I screw up.
I have no idea what I'm doing.
My current plan is to go down to the florist, where my buddy Jim works, and ask if he can order me some nice rose bushes.
I would like to destupidify myself a bit first, though.
Any advice? Thx.

I'm not resisting, but I don't consent to any searches.

look up nursery wholesalers in your area, they often sell to individual landscapers. Rose bushes are expensive and hard to grow, the PH of the dirt needs to be all perfect and shit.

Why does everyone think rose bushes are expensive and hard to grow? I've found both to be opposite

Listen to this guy^ I just know hearsay, never actually grown them. But look into the nursery wholesalers though, I work at one and we get landscapers coming by all the time

My neighbor has some BEAUTIFUL rose bushes.
I'm thinking of knocking on their door and begging for help.

I know certain types may be more expensive and difficult, but anyone you buy at home Depot or a nursery run of the mill is easy. Plant it and leave it be.

This is a good idea, you know because they're well established plants, and are in your gardening zone, so you can get really good info from someone that knows what they're doing with them in your area.

I knocked on the door. A Chinese woman answered, and I told her that she had nice roses, but she wouldn't come out and talk with me.
She's got an industrial-strength door to her patio, and then another two doors beyond that. She opened the innermost door and responded in broken English through the other two doors.
Given her broken English, spoken through two doors, and my not-so-great hearing, I couldn't understand a word that she said. Additionally, I got the feeling that I was making her nervous, I waved a hasty goodbye and took off.
People don't seem to welcome unexpected knocks at their doors anymore. In the good ole' days, this would have been a way to meet a new neighbor/friend.
I ended up buying some roses at a local nursery. We'll see what happens.
