Flowering Tree ID
    #23388945 - 06/27/16 08:10 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

Just wondering what this flowering tree is. They appear to grow wild all over my yard and I think ive seen them in nurseries for a pretty penny before.

One of the, if not THE most beautiful flowering small tree i think ive seen. they and wild daturas literally BLANKET the riparian zones at the edge of my yard, Daturas grow around them very commonly, that should give you a good idea of the usual habitat. almost exclusively riparian (sadly i have to pull up daturas when i find them, they poison my goats)

as soon as i read that ID i felt like an idiot... Looking at the leaves now its obvious xD

although the species hibiscus ive known i had before the flower was a bit different. Had no clue they came in trees as well. Guess the original owner of my house must have planted some and they just melted nicely into the ecosystem lol Somehow ive never noticed them flower til this year, have lived here almost a decade....weird

you know if it grafts well or if the green stemmed new growth will root?
