Whats the dillio???

I dryed my shrooms on the top of my computer moniter for 6 hours, and everything looked fine. So I put them in a plastic bag then in a sealed jar and now (5 hours later) I looked at them and there all wiggly and and dry anymore?

Am I doing something wrong?

6 hours is not enough time to dry them right. take them back out, and put them in a container with damprid or dryrite.

Ya fan dry them for 24-48 hiurs then put in a dessectant chamber for another 24-36 hours
When you squish the shroom and it just breaks its dry
If you can move it in anyway without it breaking its not dry

you need to dry them for at least three days with dessicant/damprid till they are snap dry ,then store em.
if they aren't properly dried when you seal them they will sweat and re-hydrate.

I read on some shroomery FAQ's that it is better not to dry them at all, they taste better and are more potent...this true? Or atleast is this what other shroomers would suggest?

If you're going to eat them fairly soon after harvesting you don't necessarily need to dry them. Fresh mushrooms will begin to decay pretty quick, drying them is merely a way to preserve them for later.

I think that fresh are way worse tasting personally, but in my experience are slightly more potent.

dry them right and then can last for a couple years atleast.
