Does the number of inoculation holes matter? i have 10 jars with 2 inoculation holes and another 10 jars with 4 inoculation holes? it seems like the ones with 4 holes are growing faster than the ones with 2. But it also seems like the ones with 2 holes have stalled growth......
Having some weird color show up, not sure if its contaminated or not

Pf jars I'm guessing with that many holes. Those 4 small holes that the tek explains provide GE, that is if you're not still storing them with foil over them. So 2 holes won't provide equal GE in a jar as 4 would. Other factors come in to play..how much solution did you inject per jar, compaction of sub, mixture recipe..so much more. oh god I'm going to split my head open soon.

they are brf with gypsum mix no foil over the lids, i tried to get as close to one cc per jar with out going under so some of the jars have more than 1 cc there is no compaction of the sub, i loosely put it in the jar, temp have been fluctuating between mid 70 to low 90s currently i have a fan blowing fresh and hopefully cool air into the area where the jars are kept, the jars have an ambient light schedule

Umm if it's getting into the low 90's where you have the jars..then that means your jars of 91-100F. That's why they stalled. They are baked now.

You'd want surrounding air temp of colonizing jars to not exceed 80°

Nah man... Just let it ride... The number of holes is negligible, more holes doesn't increase GE... More holes just means more inoculation points... They will be alright hitting 90°F from time to time, but if you can keep them in the mid 70°F it would be better...

What day are you on? If you're coming to the end of colonization, growth can slow down quite a bit. They may be fine and just seem to have stalled especially if you happen to be checking on them every day.

My god I wish you wouldve said that sooner. No wonder. Give it time for real, colonization can 20-30+ days in jars using spore syringes. Here I was thinking its been that long already.

if you have one or four, GE will matter some especially during the last stage - consolidation. So as long as you don't have them taped or covered with temps fluctuating that much then you are okay. Everything needs to breathe some.
