why are maturing fruits bruising without being handling *PICS*

I have six cakes in my SGFC, but three of them are older and have been in longer. now one cake is starting to shoot a decent amount of pins, but has two large premature fruits that are growing bigger everyday. now they are this morning I noticed blue tint on the stipes of these babies, and was wondering what could be causing this. because im not touching them to cause bruising which would cause the fruits to blemish blue. so im wondering if their might be another reason? is it normal? also two of the cakes have a few pins on the tops of the cakes, but I picked them up and noticed more pins on the bottom where they were sitting in moist verm. so is flipping them on their sides so the pins get some light and also grow room fine to do? and to also initiate more pinning for the cakes placed on their sides? the cake that has the two baby fruits has many other pins on the top and a few on the sides forming, but none on the bottom so I let it go. so do any more experienced guys or girls have any wisdom to shed on the issue to thankfully give me guidance? it will be very appreciated !

It's just the oxidation of psilocybin breaking down into psilocin. As for the pins on the bottom of the cake, it happens, just let the mushrooms do their thing. When I get bottom pins and a cake starts to tilt, I'll place it near the side of the FC and turn it so if it falls, it'll end up leaning on a wall. You should replace your foil if it has stray verm and water pooling in it.
Keep up the good work, you're at the finish line just let them do their thing.

yea they are on the lids of the jars with moist verm in it so I can take each one out individually to spray the verm on them to keep them moist due to the fact of where I live the heat just can dry em up real easy.

well its probably pinning more on the bottom because of all the wet verm that they are sitting on. that is the preferred micro-climate happening, so thats where they decided to grow. i would just take all that out, and sit them on plain foil, with nothing else on it. also, looks like you could mist a tad bit more, possibly.
can we see your set-up? like SGFC, and where it is located?

Misting them directly until glistening with no pooling water, and maintain that.

Well there's no definitive proof that this is what is happening, but mycelium bruises blue and it has very little actives. Certain boletes bruise blue, and they don't even have any actives. What every single bruising mushroom has in common is indoles breaking down.

Bottom pins happen because the microclimate is better there, usually because there is more water, which means that the sides and top weren't getting enough direct misting.

Yea I wasn't misting the sides bc these older cakes which are the ones pinning don't have a very good verm casing. So I wasn't misting directly onto them until I fixed that. I have em on the lids witg wet verm to help with the heat of them getting dried out. Plus I re dunked and submerged them in verm which helped a little more, but they still aren't cased as well as the three new cakes on the right.

you need to have the SGFC off of the floor/table by at least 4-6in for it to work properly. and like i said, i would put them on just foil, no verm. and start misting the cakes directly. its fine to do.
also, are there holes on ALL six sides of the SGFC? if not thats also necessary.

Oh yea I have all 6 sides with holes. Problem is I only have a one room apartment with shared bath and kitchen. Like a recovery house but not. I have the SGFC sitting on top of the 1/2 pint jars to get it up. Maybe I can just remove the verm from the jar tops, so I can still take em out of the FC to be able to mist each individual cake all around..?

Also is it fine that my larger pins/baby fruits have very faded caps? And if not, what should I do to fix the problem?

really i have no idea, so this is just a guess. but that SGFC still looks so dry to me. that could be causing this abnormality in the mushrooms right now. could change at any time though with new pins etc once conditions are proper.

i honestly thought you were maybe growing AA+ or something, because they were so pale. what variety are they?
and yeah, just put em on foil. and you wont need to take them out to mist them. just mist the cakes directly, until glistening with tiny droplet of water. it will get on the sides. it will get everywhere.

Hey man congrats on all the pins lookin good! I get pins fruiting from the bottom top sides everywhere. Shrooms seem to find their way all on their own. The ones on the bottom will be jist fine once they find their way out and towards your light source. Jist leave em be and keep misting you'll be good to go Ps I wouldn't flip them on their sides like that. The pins started there for a reason. They like it there and will benifit from the verm microclimate
