Haven't read this thread for a while. So does the name Epiphany in the woods refer to the strains habitat? Has anyone tried them to see if they live up to such a name? There are so many different strains of cubensis out there. Potency testing or should I say bioassay should begin right away. You will need impartial people to test them.

Both you guys would have some prejudice. Might I suggest myself. I'll give them a true evaluation. I've had plenty of northern NSW goldtops. So I'll judge them fairly. I promise.

I have explained why this is the case multiple times now, how about actually reading the text I explained myself in, I do not feel like repeating myself.

Well your opinion is severely warped and you need to reevaluate, the fact that I'm to have every print in circulation to have come from a single specimine from a single print from Subsistence's woodchip cubes and a single domesticator, is so Epiphany in the Woods will stay pure and authentic and the only prints in circulation can be back tracked to a single wild collection, legit as fuck right.

And the name fits Heyowana, I wanted the strain name to have a not so subtle hint of realising things, namely the façades in the world and realising the truth inside, because that is what shrooms are about, and I suggested the word "Epiphany", so it suits, and we both liked that, and "in the Woods" just self explains.

I do not know if Subsistence has tripped on them yet or not.

But the name fits regardless, and I wanted the name to prompt ingestiors to know that shrooms give you epiphanys and perhaps they can trip in the woods, and it's a double entendre because of the substrate the original specimen was discovered in.

No doubt "Epiphany in the Woods" will be regularly tested on myself and my mates during all steps of the process :super:

How else are we going to be able to get a potent isolate?

And of course, will defiantly do Adden!

Interesting I just saw this. Psilocybe azurescens grow out of sand in heavy bird migration areas. They love the bird shit with pieces of old grass. They burn through this substrate quick though and only fruit for 2 of the 6 months. And they look worlds different than azurescens growing 1km away on woody soil/sand. This is just some observations.

The specimens collected by Subsistence is very, very far from being a single strain. Even most(or all, depending on your point of view) of the "strains" available commercially are not actually strains, but just a collection of spores that represent a VAST quantity of potential strains. You should look it up because I really  don't want to spend a ton of time typing up info that you can read in many popular books on mycology.

Yes, I was aware of that, thank you anyway.

Guess I should have said variety then...
Strain is somewhat synonymous with variety when it comes to mycology so I often use the word "strain" as a synonym for variety, my bad.

Just a nice thing to know that all prints in circulation of me and Subsistence's variety can all be backtracked from a single print, that's all we wish for it, pretty cool right. :super:

I cocked up and mixed up some cubensis spawn into wood chip/shavings>

I couldn't say whether they were actually feeding on the wood or were just using up whatever nourishment they could from the grain that was in it. That was a second flush though, so who knows. Oh, and it was about this time of year in the UK, rather than winter.

I haven't read the whole thread yet so may skip to the last page. Hope it worked out.  :mushroom2:

I was planning on getting them to fruit on both woodchip and typical indoor cube cult substrates, can't believe it's actually been pulled off before, nice one brother, you beat me to it, that's amazing bro.

Quick question for you deucedbi9, was there any shit involved in the cube spawn or just chips?
What did the spawn materials consist of?
Was it just grain?

Any one else got any other suggestions or what they would like to see done?

So far we got the following.
- Making a growlog documenting the whole domestication and stabilization process which will be up in a few months when I begin the process.
- Pictures of spores under the mic.
- Getting it to fruit on woodchips and typical indoor cube cult substrates like brf cakes, coir/hpoo tubs, ect.
- 100 print giveaway in the marketplace upon completion.

What else would ya'll like to see?

Don't know about "pulled it off" I just cocked it up and spawned to the wrong substrate.
I was on the deuce (juice) at the time.

Yes it was just grain spawn and wood chips.
The chips had been prepared for ps.cyans to be spawned to.

Oh, and, good luck with your trials.

That is incredible bro, I'm surprised...
Might I ask what grains you used? Just out of interest.

And thank you for the good luck wish mate.

I think I was using cheap wheat grain bought at a local pet shop at the time.

After having an infestation of weavils that totaly destroyed a 25K sack of rye grain, I'd only used about 2.5K of :nonono: I've reverted back to the cheap wheat.
So much easier to use than the WBS I started out with.
