(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

85F is commonly experienced by P.cubensis in the wild, not a problem whatsoever.

You realize people were incubating their shit at 86F for years decades and some still do, right? 85F temp shock, lol. If anything it's an 85F temporary bacteria boon, not much else. Sorry if I got a laugh at your expense, this just tickled me a certain way.

so many times I thought I had fucked up 100% in my sterile process or something...and then boom. Not a single contaminated jar. It happens everytime, I swear.
I've done 100+ jars with agar and although I've had to clean up some agar cultures, I've never seen a moldy jar in person...except a regular grain jar that hadn't even been inoculated that I let sit for several months.
After a while you just realize that whatever you're doing is working and you just sort of go with it.
