Would higher Spawn Ratios help fight contam issues?

Is there a specific spawn to substrate ratio?
Theoretically speaking, lets say you have a hidden contam somewhere. Will adding a higher spawn ratio to the substrate give you a better chance to have the mycellium colonize quicker, hence beating out any contams from settling over the substrate first?

Possibly, but in theory you could be introducing a higher rate of contams on many levels. Spore syringes and prints should be transfered and tested before you go through all the trouble of making spawn and fruiting.

Why are you always so worried about contams? Just do things correctly, do agar, open your ears and stick around and youll see how smoothly it all goes, no lubes no shit.

If you spawn a contaminated jar to bulk the whole thing will contaminate very quickly...mycelium will not beat it out and even if it did make it to 100% colonized the yeild will suffer from the mycelium combating mold/bacteria.
Essentially all bulk is exposed to mold spores but bulk material is resilient itself to contamination but if you use a jar with a tiny bit of germinated green mold then there is no chance
Using more spawn will cutt down on colonization times and cutt down on any possibly of contamination during the spawn run but like I said...as long as the spawn is clean to start with.

Can't expect to mix dirty spawn with more dirty spawn and get clean bulks as a result.
