What a pretty dog. Maybe I should get a wig for my cat (or is that his natural hair, it's hard to tell). I bet he'd look good in a Jerry Curl wig.
What's up everybody. I erased my MP3 player and now I'm putting new music on it. Anybody got a music suggestions?

I went to the hospital the other day, and today. I feel like trash
I'm all queasy and faint and lethargic. I think I've had two seizures in the past month. I dunno if they really are though, I could just be passing out. My friends say I didn't convulse but I go out and wake up all confused and tasting metal. My pupils have started being different sizes all the time, it might be unrelated because they have been like that in the past, but only sometimes. Now I haven't noticed them the same size in months.
Wednesday I went out cold at a friends house again, luckily I wasn't on a flight of stairs this time, I also kinda knew what was happening and had time to lay down. But I went to the hospital thursday night because I still tasted pennies and felt way off, since then I've been getting worse. It's hard for me to walk around even right now. I got bloodwork, a CT scan of my brain, and an EKG. They said they're able to rule out a lot of stuff with the tests they did. Like anemia, tumors, blood sugar, electrolytes. The doc did all these coordination tests and shit and I did alright. The doc told me I need see a neurologist, "soon, like tomorrow" though.
I'm thoroughly freaked the fuck out about this.

Wtf man. Have you ever had something like this happen to you before? Those episodes sound like seizures, the whole flopping around they show on tv is on the more serious end of seizures.

Cell phones. Particularly smartphones. Unless you're still rocking a flip phone too, you should be able to listen to all your music on your phone.

I was thinking earlier today, I went out like that into a concrete wall one time, completely sober back in 2013, and another time I fell out of my friends restroom and slid my face across his carpet back in '09 or so, after just smoking one bowl of weed. I got carpet burn on my face and it wasn't cool.
A month ago I went out while I was walking up a flight of stairs at a friends house and fell down half of them. But Wednesday I kinda knew what was up and had time to lay down. I had been drinking both times, but only like 2-3 beers each time, and I can drink like a fish sometimes without this happening to me so I don't think it's related.
I dunno what the deal is but it's pretty scary. The fact that I've been feeling worse and worse since the last one has me really concerned. The nurses at the hospital seemed really concerned about my pupils. The smaller one doesn't react to light as much as the bigger one and I think that's bad.

That sounds terrible man, have you been able to schedule a neurologist?
One of my friends takes benzo's for his seizures, it keeps them at bay. He's a lush, but if you take out the recreational dosing + alcohol, it wouldn't be so bad I think.

That's puzzling man. A brain infection is a possible cause but it seems very doubtful to me. The unequal pupils is something to be concerned about if you've had a traumatic brain injury, I'm guessing you haven't. Another possibility is epilepsy but a neurologist will definitely be able to help you best. Make sure you tell him or her everything, including all your past drug use, your mental and physical health history, about your parents and other closely related family members, everything. The more they know the more they can help you. Keep us updated.

I don't think I've had a TBI, back two years ago I got into a fight and fell out of a van onto my head though, I dunno how bad it was but I'm pretty sure I had a concussion.
I don't even know if the pupils is anything though, I've had aniscoria for a while. I first noticed it about 10 years ago on stimulants. But it was a rare thing. I posted a pic here 4 or 5 months ago and people pointed it out and since then, I've been kinda paying attention to it. The past couple months I haven't seen them the same any time I check them.
I'm not even sure it's seizures, I could just be loosing consciousness, but then again the tasting metal and confusion are symptoms of them.
I haven't made any appointments yet. My insurance doesn't kick in until the first of August. So I dunno if I'll be able to figure out how to see a specialist before then. But I have the information for a doctor I might be able to afford a visit with. I'll be calling on Monday to see when I can get an appointment.

You may have horner's syndrome, a genetic cause of the unequal pupils which is fairly benign and may be unrelated to these seizures which would make more sense if you've had this for at least 10 years. I think you're making all the right moves.

Yo so this random firework show just pops up out of nowhere. I go outside and start watching it from my backyard. After it was over an owl flew directly overhead and went into this tree. Shoulda seen how it did it too, was fucking gangster about it. Just like ran full speed at it and grabbed it and kinda looked like it cushioned the "crash" with the other branches and shit though. It's hard to explain.
Anyways I ran inside grabbed my flute and the owl feathers I got and played for the owl. Or at least I hope I did. It was to dark to see if it was still there, was hard to see it at all to be honest. Kind just like a black shadow against the night sky.

I have shit headphones right now. No excuse really, my AKG's burned out and I haven't gotten new ones. I'm watching Austin Powers right now, smoking on my chillum. Really need to get my bong fixed.
Bored, but pleasantly relaxed and comfortable. Probably gonna take some kratom and enjoy a little nod into sleep.

I've been thinking about getting some closed noise canceling phones for a while, but I like the HD598 so much that I think I'd rather invest in the HD600/650. Closed headphones do have advantages though, eventually I'd like to own some.

The housing around the backside of the speakers and ear cover. Cancels out considerably more noise being closed. I don't like "noise cancelling" though unless it's fairly high end. The 180° phase cancellation on low end cans is usually a bit rough and you can hear it bleed into your audio. Plus, as a sound designer, I want as flat of a response as possible; and as minimal of incidence with phasing issues. I usually don't produce on cans though unless I'm on the go. Otherwise I've got my studio monitors for that.

If you're not going to travel with them then I highly recommend AKGs. They're awesome for listening, sober or tripping. Fairly flat response, but enough color and character to make just about any well produced track pop. First time I listened to an Orchestra play on my set was like a whole new experience. I had never before been able to so clearly pick out each instrument section, still hearing even the subtle parts separate from each other. I'd buy some more AKGs but as I said, I need something to play shows, and AKGs are more studio cans really.

Yeah, noise cancelling is only good in the high end, and there's other stuff I'd rather spend my money on like the HD650, or I could upgrade my amp+dac, but I've always been curious about the sound of high quality noise cancelling headphones.
AKGs are good. At the high end, it always becomes a matter of preference for what kind of sound you want. For some reason I really like the Sennheiser sound. It's a very warm and smooth sound which I like, not harsh and serious like Grados, and the soundstage on the Sennheisers is cool. I don't think I'd ever want to use them in the studio except to check that the end result sounds really good, but for serious error finding I'd definitely want something that's very transparent like the Grados.
What do you use for your studio monitors?

Pair o' Samson Mediaone 5a with a Phase Technology Power FL-10 subwoofer. I need to get some bigger monitors though because the sub really overpowers them unles I keep it at like 10% (which is no fun). Not sure what I'll move up to, but I'm considering some Focals.
