Id say its a mixed blessing
More blessing than curse cause you could literally do everything Earth has to offer and experience things that no one person could have (as in experience it all).
You would see the beginning and ending of time. Sure, seeing your friends and family die over and over would be painful, but hey, u could have infinite childern forever!
Imagine having billions of childern. You would be like a God

You ARE so fucking bored.
The whole thing about existence as a human is that when we drift back to the cosmic ocean and become everything it evenautlly gets boring and lonely. That's why we manifest ourselves into the individual ego. It's like a human vacation from the cosmic reality. I've experienced the pinnacle of consciousness and it was scary and lonely.

I feel that if you want others opinion on the matter maybe don't make your first post where you obviously have the opinion of it being a curse. I've noticed a trend around here, the first few posts seem to direct the way the thread goes... If someone posts about a break up and the first few posts are calling the dude a pussy everyone else seems to adopt that opinion and that's the way the thread goes. If the first few posts are sympathetic then the majority of other posters are also sympathetic.
Just saying... Probably better if you're looking for real opinions instead of influenced ones.

Totally a curse. We tend to think of immortality on a fairly micro scale. "Yeah it would be pretty monotonous after 10000 years." 10000 years? Imagine what it would be like in 350 billion when the sun goes nova and you are blasted off floating through space for 450 trillion years before you hit a random comet. You then live forever on the comet.

Balance in everything. Something can only be as great as it is terrible, exactly as much is taken as it is received. I'm a firm believer that "happiness is not a fish that you can catch," that being said it's my belief that I'd be a major pussy to not see what a blessing it would be to watch the world roll by, if that was my fate. it's not though, so as many have us have experienced, it's a lot easier to judge someone/something when it's not you.

Also to answer your question... For me it would be both. I am the loner type, I dont like people close to me, I hate it in fact. As a geologist, I would love to watch the world change BUT I have children and watching them go would be a curse.

you'd also watch humanity evolve into more and more advanced forms as you get left behind as some kind of neolithic relic. I imagine that'd become kind of embarrassing after a while.

Being embarrassed isn't really a thing when you don't like people or care what they think though

We aren't going to grow more thumbs or an extra dick. I think it's pretty clear that if you simplify the idea like that you still end up with a lifeform that evolved to the point that we as a race became above evolution through technology. I don't see how those benefits wouldn't be relevant to the lifeform in question.

I dont know, I think it'd be hard not to when everyone around you is some super advanced cybernetic hybrid and you're this ancient thing that can barely break 10mph in a full sprint.
They'd probably end up tossing you in a zoo and gawking at you for an eternity
And Im just seriously exploring the idea. Most people are all "yay I wouldnt die" without really thinking of the consequences.

I never have enough time to get anything done in a day, so immortality would be very helpful. I would have to worry about time crunches a lot less.

Why the fuck are only half of my posts showing up?
The last part of that was if they put me in a zoo and gawked at me I would be sure to do things like masturbate out in the open to make everyone super uncomfortable.
