I'm just wondering but how long did it take to full recover and to do whatever sport or activity without it hurting?

I fucked this chick that may have been an alien on a couch once and her shoulder popped out. It was pretty gnarly and fucked up. I don't remember if we finished or not lol

If your lucky it will heal fast in 6 weeks. But will alway hurt and only be 80% as strong.

I have playing ice hockey. Takes about 4-6 weeks to get rid of the sling and about another 6 weeks to slowly rehabilitate your arm.

Not since. But I also haven't put undo stress on it. I'm much more careful then I was as a young lad. I do tend to always hear a clicking noise near the socket every-time I lift my arm.

I've dislocated my right shoulder literally hundreds of times.
When I was around 15 me and two other friends were high and wrestling. I ended up falling on my arm causing my shoulder to become dislocated. As soon as it happened it felt like lightning shooting through my arm. I was kind of in shock realizing I couldn't move it up or down; only from side to side. My friends freaked out wanting to call their mom and/or 911 but I told them to just pull on my arm. As soon as they started pulling it made a nasty crunch sound and popped back into place.
I never went to the doc. I just toughed it out for a few weeks and eventually the pain went away. Little did I know this did perminent damage.
Years ago I worked at a local grocery store on the overnight shift. We'd all go outside for a break out in the parking lot around 3am to have boxing matches.
I threw a punch that, instead of going straight forward, I went in sort of a circular motion punching out and then going straight forward. (I don't know any other way to described this. Read: threw a fucked up punch)
I dislocated my shoulder pretty bad. It hurt like a bitch and as soon as I got it back into place I announced my retirement from the grocery store boxing ring.
Since then it dislocated for the dumbest shit. Swimming, putting on a jacket, sleeping, even while eating a girl out once. Lol
I'd like to get it fixed one day but my health insurance are nothing but a bunch of cock sucking scam artists. That's a story for another day though.

26 years ago. It still aches some days.

Never had a dislocation but I'm familiar with Tendonitis and rotator cuff tears and ruptures. PT does help if you really keep at it regularly but the pain is always there when doing certain motions. For me anyway... . . .

My brother has dislocated his shoulders like five times. He does stupid stuff.
I think he's back to "normal" a few days to a week after it happens.
Sometimes he has to go to the hospital to get it fixed

Both of them. Total reconstruction on both sides....no more football or lifting heavy weight above shoulder height. With luck and depending on the damage you can with rehabilitation rebuild your shoulder but as was said above it will never be quite the same if you rush you will risk popping it again everytime it happens surgery is more and more likely.
