Caffeine withdrawls

caffeine (for me) has been more addictive than nicotine, and amps. I find myself in and out of the habit quite a lot
Luckily its not that unhealthy for the body. But I just hate the idea of being dependent on a drug like that. tea is okay. it has ltheanine in it. And used occasionally, its a great nootropic. But having any drug as a physical addiction is just bad news to me
Anyways, I wokeup this morning and said enough is enough. No more I feel like I am dying right now. Its only been 2 hours. But damn. Headaches and intense zombification. It feels like I took a fuckton of bong rips but have no euphoria. My brain feels like molasses
anyone feel the same? If anyone wants to join, let me know
Normally I would have caffeine to ease the blow but I can't because I am not in US

I just keep drinking it. Why stop? It tastes great and is great in every aspect. Its just shitty if you somehow miss the opportunity to drink it.

I get headaches when I quit it as well. It has very little psychological addiction factor for me though, don't really give a shit about not having it when the withdrawal phase passes.

How long must I undergo this zombification? How many days?

I used to take 400 to 800 mg of caffeine a day. I dropped that habit. I don't even drink coffee anymore. I don't remember going through withdrawals though except for it being more difficult to wake up in the morning.

i would suggest a taper.
curcumin supposedly increases sensitivity to caffeine.
honestly I can't see any good reason to quit drinking coffee in reasonable quantities. I have one 6oz cup every morning. No more caffeine later in the day.
If you're getting a lot of brain fog honestly is more likely to be related to the noopept and piracetam than to the caffeine. caffeine withdrawals typically aren't that bad, but I guess everyone is different. At first noopept and racetams were great for me- they boosted my memory, improved my perception, reaction time, etc. But over time I just started to feel more and more mental fog. My mood got shittier and shittier. I started sleeping more and more. these are relatively unresearched drugs that are far from harmless. you can find dozens to hundreds of matching anecdotal stories about them online.
I quit taking noopept and racetams completely and those symptoms have gradually been dissipating.
I take coffee, creatine, theanine, agmatine, curcumin, arginine, tyrosine, uridine, fish oil, SAM-e, and ashwaghanda. feel great

I'd say about one day for me.

Morning brain fog is often just dehydration, we use up a hell of a lot of water when we are sleeping. 3 cups of water in the morning is just as good at getting your brain going as one cup of coffee, and there's no mental whiplash either.

Even without using caffeine much it generally gives me more anxiety then anything, maybe a bit of alertness followed by a quick and steep crash.
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

@morrow: I am abroad atm and forgot to take my noopept. As such I am not on it. I would suggest low doses of noopept maybe? I take 1.5mg of spray orally every morning (when I am in cali). Its def useful in this context. I rarely have experienced side effects from noopept in that range. IMO the side effects of piracetam and nooept come in large dosages. For example; optimum nutrition and other supplement companies argue that you need 2-3 grams of protein per pound of body weight. As such, there is a myth that you need large amounts of protein. In reality the amounts you need are much less. Similarly, lage doses of noots make me feel shitty. I have a feeling that these noot/supplement companies push abnormally large doses due to the fact that they have a product/agenda to push. But regardless I have pronounced mental fog and dizziness/naseau from no noopept
Example: I am struggling to remember how naeseau is properly spelled. My brain just isn't working the speed and efficiently. It also feels like I have a shitty flu
@northerner: I know. Thats why I am switching to just coconut water or just water in the morning. Maybe a tall glass of green juice or something. I may use white tea after this detox period. White tea has antioxidants and 1/10th the caffeiene. Helps a lot with my meditation and yoga practice. Coffee/caffiene is basically poison to me at this point

I feel you topdog. I work in IT and everyone around me drinks coffee all day. It was making me sick, I started getting palpitations and my mood was a fucking roller coaster between cups. Now I get up and nail 2 x 500ml glasses of water as soon as I get up (around 5.30) and then another 750ml with some B supplements before 8 o'clock, then another 750ml before midday. After that I'm pretty sorted for hydration and will only have a few small glasses for the rest of the day. My brain works so much better than it used to before. I like Rooibos tea too, no caffeine but loads of anti-oxidants. Some debate on the fluoride there, but I still like it.

I am thinking I will get up at my usual time (6am ish) and then skip breakfast entirely and have white tea and a huge glass of green juice. I will only have white tea after I wash all this caffiene out my system and withdraw. And even then white tea will be a treat
Intermittent fasting is the tits. That plus more water will let my body focus on hydrating only. No digesting food. I am gonna start supplementing b vitamins and d3 for good measure again.
Caffiene barely improves my concentration. It just tricks you into thinking you are concentrating when in reality you are just jittery and ADHD as fuck. And ya I am in software. Tons of coffee. IMO it just makes me ungrounded as fuck. IDK how my buds/coworkers drink it all day plus taking preworkouts/fat burners

I was listening to a talk show about intermittent fasting just yesterday. Apparently it great for the metabolism. It's funny I'd never heard of it before and then it comes up again today.

There's some science in that. I was listening to this professor explaining how because of the way it works it stimulates a whole pile of gut bacteria that have a really strong effect on your mood and mental aptitude.
