wbs jars too old?
    #23378503 - 06/24/16 07:21 PM (7 years, 7 months ago)

hello. i made some wbs jars for pressure cooking. but then i left them (after soaking in water and put them in a colander to rinse them) for now 2 days in the jars. now im not sure if the wbs is already too old? could this be a problem, is it still possible to inject liquid culture into these wbs jars after pressure cooking? will the pressure cooker kill all kind of contaminations anyway?

thanks for your answers

You can try pressure cooking them if they aren't too wet for a good 2hrs. But I cannot make guarantees, as I've never done this.

I'd have just thrown them out myself, and started over. But you may be ok.

my WBS had some gnarly mold growing by day 4 sitting without being PC'd, so id say its sketchy at best. i still went ahead an noc'd a few of my jars that i PC'd after sitting a day or 2.. we'll see what happens i guess?
