Please don't. Zappa was a steadfast believer in the finality of death and the infinite nothingness beyond. It would be the epitome of kicking a man when he's down to create a fable about contacting his fictional spirit in some fictional other realm.
Let Zappa be what he was...a man who lived, but is now gone except for in the memories of those who knew him.

2 people unignored him since yesterday, lol. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23374100#23374100
I noticed he pulled an all nighter posting here his last day, midnight till 6 AM, on a work day. That seems a little out of character.
We talked before his move about downsizing, getting rid of stuff collected over the decades, and how both of our grown children find it convenient to leave their precious childhood accumulations in our houses(free storage).
He joined here 6 days before me and I'll be 59 in a few weeks. I didn't always agree with him, but I always read his posts, often getting a good laugh from his style.

In response to finding Zappa's spirit....I'd be terrified to search for Zappa during a trip.

Am in shock at this news. Man I did not see that coming for Zappa, thought he was going to have a long nice retirement ahead of him.
Am stunned, and hit by this loss. Sorry to have you go Zappa. RiP man.

A libation is a ritual pouring of a liquid as an offering to a god or spirit or in memory of those who have died. It was common in many religions of antiquity and continues to be offered in various cultures today.
It is EXTREMELY appropriate. I'll go do an actual Libation now for him with Dutch Gin, he loved gin, always wanted to try Dutch Gin but, perhaps never did.
Now excuse me while I go meditate.

Thank you for sharing this.

When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Never really talked to him through PM's or anything but he was a good poster and I agreed with him on most things. Also liked that I didn't have to argue with liberals in controversial threads because he always said what I wanted to say.

Bummer... He was a unique and outspoken member that very much added to the diversity of this site. In a thread with a chorus of "yes" he wouldn't hesitate to say "no". That is great value in that, forcing a unpopular and dissenting view to be heard.
I know he was an old timer compared to most of us here, but still too young to go like this. But that is how life works, we don't generally choose when to take the exit.
His presence here had an effect, an effect on me and others here that has, and will, continue on. I wish I had the chance to meet him in person.

I'm gonna miss his contributions to threads about books. I fucking hated his politics and he regularly pissed me off, but we had strikingly similar tastes in literature and he was one of the very few shroomerites that actually suggested high quality books that weren't just high-school required reading or any of the standard array of Terence Mckenna, Shulgin, Alan Watts, and other boring new age hippie garbage.
-------------------- "I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

RIP zappa.
My first shroomery ban was 2 days for calling zappa a 'lizard person'.
I clashed with him pretty hard but I think he understood my uncompromising sense of humour because he was similar.
Definitely a big loss for the Shroomery. Hope his consciousness is at peace whatever happened.
