Just seems like forums are dying overall. Has it been more active to you or do you think the forum has died over the years?

I dont know exact numbers but this place is still massive compared to when I joined. Currently at 6:56 AM East Coast time there's 65 people in mushroom cultivation alone! 65 people was like the peak numbers in the pub on any given night. Right now theres 90 users in pub and it's not even 7AM EST.

10 members, 90 guests and 3 of them members are us in this thread. Well I notice one thing is that it seems like a lot of people are leaving this place

I have accounts in multiple forums. I even listed them here before I think I have accounts close to about 20 and every single one is getting less frequent posters. Quarter of them are mainly weed and drug relatted forums though lol. Reddit seems to be growing by a lot

I could be mistaken about this, but I don't think there's ever been a dip in the number of new accounts registered here from one year to the next. Meaning every year since shroomery's inception, there are more new registrants than the year before it. There's something like a million unique visitors every month. So no, I do not believe that the Shroomery has died/is dying.

Most members are American. You're posting 6-9 hours ahead of a huge portion of the userbase. Maybe you're not around at peak hours. For example, when you made this thread, it wasn't even 7 AM on the east coast, and not yet 4 AM out west. Those are slow hours. Before I posted in here, at least 2/4 users in this thread were British.

Being that I have been/am a member of many car & bike forums I disagree. I think more and more people are starting to learn to the power that an online community has. Just think about it; access to the shared knowledge and opinions of hundreds or thousands of minds shared within hours of pretty much any question you can think to ask..
100 years ago, you'd be lucky to know another human more than two towns away. These days you can make best friends with people on the opposite side of the planet by sharing yourself in a group of people with common interests.
No, I do not believe forums are disappearing. Rather, the shitty, propaganda based, false 'social media' sites reign dominant. I come to a forum cause I want to be me and exactly me in relative anonymity. I avoid all that other shit cause it seems filled only with projections, rather than people. That happens in forums too of course, but I feel to a far, far lesser degree.

I worked overnight and got home at 4AM, it does suck that the shroomery is slow any time of day though because I've been bored/cant sleep.

LMFAO!
Seriously though, knitting is badass, I use to knit hats and scarves for little orphans in Romania, it was a fun way to pass the time when you're tweaking...

These days "best friends" doesn't seem to have same meaning than before... But yeah, it's possible I suppose.

You know how to knit Niff? I can't seem to grasp it or crochet.
Also I don't believe the Shroomery is dying at all. But it feels like there's less certain topics being made than a few years ago. But that's dependent on my attention span and interests more than the Shroomery's members. And I could just make a new thread about those things if I felt like it. There's ton of new members and threads and it keeps growing.
