Definitely not subs mate. Trusted identifier will be able to tell you the type if still interested

I would say these are not subs. Not sure what they are, though.

Keep hunting. Look for blue bruising.

Planning to head out into the bush tomorrow if the weather holds up, and fairly confident I'll come across plenty. Having grown an absolute buttload of cubes in the past I'm all too familiar with the bruising just never actually seen a subaeruginosa specimen in the flesh, so anything could look like a sub to my untrained eyes heh
Thanks peeps

Your mushrooms are Oudemansiella gigaspora, old name is Xerula australis.

Figured I'd bump this thread rather than start a new one.
Didn't get a proper chance for a walk into the mountains, though came across these in a nearby reserve. Grabbed a couple of specimens for ID given I don't think I've found what I'm after yet, so no use in killing them all. They haven't bruised blue at all since though.
Hopefuls at the top, curiosity at the bottom

Would like to see more pictures, of gills, stems and stem base.

Would provide more pictures for definitive ID but didn't want to go causing harm to the organism when I don't believe they're what I'm looking for. No point ripping something up if it looks like it *might* be the right thing when reality is I've dick all idea on what I'm looking for, only to be advised they aren't subs as I expect :P The couple I grabbed to observe for bruising got messed up in the baggy so they're useless for further photos
Am I on the right track with the first images, or is there something about them I should be picking up on from what you can see that tells you they're definitely not subs? I fully understand the idea of ticking ALL the boxes when looking for identifying features, so some similarities in the photos are all I hope for so I have reason to revisit where I found them for comprehensive photos of gills and spores (presuming I get to them in the morning, and not late afternoon like yesterday).
Thanks though! I merely enjoyed the appearance of the 2 different examples in the bottom images. Particularly the final image very obviously not something to stick in my mouth
