Canada is easy as shit to get in just have to get sponsored but for America you need like 156 requirements and you'll be dead before moving there
Shit, Canada won't even let you visit if you have a record, are fat or ill, or drive an old Shitty car...
Plus, it's next to impossible to get a job or benefits there if you're illegal, why don't you think more illegals flood their country?
It's mostly location I think. We don't border on any poor countries.
You border the US
And if that was the criteria, The US wouldn't have South Americans also flooding across the border, when a S. American is detained in Mexico, all they gotta say is they are heading for US and they are let go, Mexico even gives them 3 day visas so they can travel unmolested...
Canada, as Canadians love to point out here, have far more in benefits than the US does, it's the proverbial land of milk and honey, theoretically, immigrants should pass through US and go there if a "better life" is what they're seeking

Yeah, not a poor country. Is there something funny about what I said?

I don't really follow your argument. Mexico's policies notwithstanding, it isn't a first world country, so it isn't a particularly desirable final destination for those seeking financial opportunity. Sneaking from the US into Canada is possible but if you're in the US you're already in a first-world country with relatively high wages compared to the third world, and there isn't much of a reason to sneak into another first-world country where the weather is shittier and the money is worth less if sent back to your home country. Why bother? There are definitely people here illegally but they tend to be people who overstayed visas and so on. There are under-the-table jobs, but it's not particularly easy to find them (like the stereotypical "crowd of illegals standing outside the Home Depot" scenario) because illegal immigrants aren't a major economic force to begin with.

It's true that illegal immigrants aren't able to benefit from government programs here generally (not sure what the situation is with medical care here when uninsured) so yeah that is not a reason to come here either. If we did border on a country like Mexico though and already had a huge population of illegal immigrants, it's quite possible we would have developed similarly permissive policies to what the US did in response to the existence of such a population within their borders. But instead we border on a country richer than us where economic opportunities tend to be even better, so such a situation never really had an opportunity to develop in the first place.

Canada has brutal illegal immigration laws. The illegals are completely segregated from society and they eventually give up and leave because they come to realize the futility of trying to live in canada illegally

But the reason that there are much fewer of them in the first place has more to do with our location than our laws. The US pretty much gave up on antagonizing them because they will just pour across the border regardless. Our southern border is secured even more shittily and we would likely be in a similar situation if it was a country like Mexico that we bordered with instead of the US.

Yeah, if we bordered a country like Mexico then our situation would probably more closely resemble that of the American's. The fact that illegals find it more futile to live here probably has less to do with our policies and more to do with there not being a huge 'underground market' of sorts set up and ready to take advantage of cheap, tax-free labour.

Oddly most of the few illegal immigrants I've met in Canada have been Mexicans of German descent, Mennonites from Chihuahua state. They were working illegally but crossed the border legally in a car.
I did know one American girl who actually snuck back and forth across the border, somewhere on the Quebec-Vermont portion I think.

That's what some people try to say so the status quo can continue.
Even border enforcement agents have told people they aren't allowed to do their jobs, I think Trump pointed that out recently.
Many EU countries have sealed up their borders in short order because of the migrant crisis, it's not only possible, it's not that difficult.

Comical shit. I think this will pave the way for a youth led political revolution of sorts. I think with all the tensions in the lower working class at the moment we're heading towards a Neo-60s style revolution.

Nigel Farage Admonished On ITV For 'Mistaken' £350m NHS Funding Pledge
Nigel Farage today admitted it was a “mistake” for the Leave campaign to pledge that the weekly £350 million saving in EU contributions could be spent on the NHS instead.
The Ukip leader was confronted on ITV’s Good Morning Britain by presenter Susanna Reid just hours after the UK backed Brexit.
Reid quizzed Farage on whether he could guarantee the bold pledge promoted on the side of a much-photographed battle bus would be delivered on.
Farage responded simply: “No I can’t,” and added that it was a “mistake” of the official Vote Leave campaign to have made the claim in the first place.
Reid rebutted him saying: “Hang on a moment, that was one of your adverts”.
Farage insisted that it was in fact a claim carried by the official ‘Vote Leave’ campaign, not his own party’s ‘Leave.EU’, but still acknowledged it was wrong.
But Reid fired back that the pledge may have influenced a lot of people to vote Brexit.
She asked: “You’re saying, after 17m people have voted for Leave based - I don’t know how many people voted basis of that advert, but it was a huge part of the propaganda - you’re saying that was a mistake?”
Farage responded that the contribution - which he said was more than £350m a week - could be spent on public services including “the NHS, schools or whatever it is”.
The figure has been criticised repeatedly in the past for being “misleading”, including by the UK Statistics Authority. The Ukip leader defended his personal position, saying he had been “ostracised” by the official Leave campaign, adding: “As I’ve always done, did my own thing.”
Despite the apology, many voters expressed disappointment Farage’s comments.

Chris Green, Scotland editor of the i newspaper, also bemoaned the pledge U-turn coming shortly after Conservative MEP and ardent Brexit supporter Daniel Hannan reportedly said that voters expecting a fall in immigration levels would be “disappointed”.

Exactly, if America has the same laws, we could end our illegal problem rather quickly, the free healthcare and good jobs are just too easy pass up, that shit doesn't fly in Canada
And to the other guy, America is 20 trillion in debt, we are broke as fuck, just because we have a credit card with a high limit doesn't mean we have money

Not you jokeshopbeard, just the negative vibes spewing from media and people spouting about this in the past weeks.
I really don't care. I didn't vote. Because I have no real objective idea of the ramifications of this... Now we have to deal with it though.
I'm a business man. I intend on emmigrating to Spain. I just hope this doesn't effect me personally although it already is starting too, the pounds dropped and our currency is worth shit right now for people wanting to leave UK.
All these immigrants want in? Why, they thing wow look at how much somebody earns in the UK but they don't look at how much the cost of living is here. Its a negative economy for the individual to move to the UK. Come here if you want to sign on to slavery for the rest of your life. You will probably earn 10x more wages but your outgoings are 20x more so go figure...
