Well, I start training part time for EMT-B in two months, which means no more (fun) drugs for me ;(. It'll probably be good for me. Anyone else here with EMT experience that they would like to share? Tips/tricks? I know people in the industry so I already have my foot in the door.

Best advice I can give is buy some synthetic urine.
EDIT: I should add that the job is fun though. The hours are long and the pay sucks. Expect to do a lot of routine transports until you get some experience. And read your state protocols.

I cannot take drugs regularly because of my job. There is nothing wrong with that kind of a lifestyle. I take them when I have long weekends, and when I am on vacation. I also stick to psychedelics for the most part. Using in relative moderation makes the experiences much better anyway. You wont be missing out on anything by not consuming constantly. Marijuana is about all you'll miss if you're a heavy smoker, and within a few months time you wont have a huge desire to smoke anyway. Embrace it.
Never worked as an EMT or anything, but hopefully the training goes well for you. Good luck.

Nah, I can't use drugs on the job or smoke weed period, being responsible and all. I can use prescribed drugs responsibly such as ambien, adderall, xanax, temazepam, and zolpidem though. It's a damn shame that I'll have to finish all this weed tonight .

Thanks for the perspective, I'm not a heavy smoker anymore thankfully. Just got approved and assigned to a class though and training starts in less than a month and involves clinical work so I guess I'll have to start flushing my system . It was a good run.
